The Six Gun HPP boasts a body crafted from Korina, also known as White Limba. Loved by players for its medium-light weight and consistent tonal qualities, Korina affords this guitar resonance and responsiveness, and the body's design is one that's totally unique to Reverend guitars.
The neck of the Six Gun HPP is constructed from Roasted Maple, the wood undergoes a meticulous heat treatment process at over 300°F. This treatment removes sugars, moisture, and impurities, which results in a lighter and more stable neck with a beautiful caramel hue. This neck minimizes the need for seasonal adjustments, and makes consistent playability happily achieved.
The Six Gun HPP also features a unique new pickup configuration: a bridge humbucker delivers an aggressive growl, while the pair of P90s provide a clear and open tone. Reverend's proprietary custom pickups, designed specifically for each position, offer balanced volume and tone, and a 5-way switch allows clean transitions between these pickups, offering a versatile tonal spectrum. Diving into expressive tremolo work with confidence is simple, with the dialed-in Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo, and a bass contour control adds further tweakability.
The Six Gun's Periwinkle Burst finish is applied in thinner applications, allowing the body of this guitar to vibrate more freely and resulting in a more resonant and lively tone.
