Ground Ivy Glechoma Hederacea is an aromatic, creeping, evergreen, perennial flowering plant native to Europe and Southern Asia. For the fast germination Ground Ivy seeds have to be cold treated for two weeks prior sowing. Also commonly called Gill-Over-The-Ground, Creeping Charlie, Alehoof, Tunhoof, Catsfoot, Field Balm, Hedgemaids, and Run-Away-Robin, Glechoma Hederacea grows low to the ground and spreads very fast forming a very dense mat of mint scented especially when crashed or mowed, dark-green foliage and blooming with 2-3 flowers clusters of funnel shaped, blue or bluish-violet to lavender flowers. The mint scented flowers of Ground Ivy attract bees and other pollinators.

Ground Ivy is an attractive garden plant and aggressive creeper which is often grown as a ground cover that can be mowed for the best appearance. Because of its cascading habit, Creeping Charlie looks fabulous growing in hanging baskets, containers, and pots. Glechoma Hederacea has been used as medicinal and culinary herb for centuries, so the fresh or dried leaves can be used for making an herbal tea which is rich in vitamin C, and when added as a fresh salad green, the fresh Glechoma leaves have mildly peppery flavor. Glechoma Hederacea seeds germinate in 10-14 weeks if the cold treatment is applied prior planting the seeds, and the established Alehoof thrives in shaded areas with fertile moist soil, but the plant also tolerates different types of soil and sun very well. Ground Ivy is drought tolerant.

Unbelievable toy for aggressive chewers
Color: Green Cactus
Great toy for aggressive chewers! I'm not one to hand out 5 star reviews but this one I 100% believe in. I bought the first one in 2023 and just replaced it because it broke. Now this is not a played with every once in a while, this was played with daily as it is his favorite toy. Very few toys last long but this one has went beyond my expectations. Could not be happier.

Not Recommended!
Color: Green Cactus
Be aware that with major chewers it is not durable. My dog tour right through it and was eating pieces off of it. Thankfully we got the pieces back out of his mouth but definitely not for tough chewers. Also only lasted 2 days in decent condition and was only used on the occasion throughout the day.

Not strong lasting
Color: Green Cactus
Didn’t even last 3 hours in my house. Too rubbery and our frenchie mix was able to bite pieces off and was trying to eat them. Don’t recommend as a super chewer or consider it durable

Very durable!
Color: Pink Cactus
One of the few actually tough chew toys for dogs who tear apart toys in seconds! My dog loves this thing and has yet to break into the rubber!
