Wire Reinforced Ceramic Packing – Round & Square Profiles

Our ceramic packing is manufactured from high-performance refractory ceramic fibre yarns, reinforced with nickel chrome wire for improved tensile strength at elevated temperatures. Available in both square and round coils, this packing delivers reliable sealing and insulation in demanding thermal applications.

Produced using high-purity 1260°C grade ceramic fibres, the yarns are carded with a small percentage of cellulose fibre to assist in processing. During initial firing above 200°C, the organic content will burn off without affecting the ceramic’s insulation performance.

The ceramic fibre core withstands continuous temperatures up to 1260°C, while the wire reinforcement is rated up to 1000°C, providing excellent durability in extreme environments.

Resistant to most chemicals (excluding phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and strong alkalis), ceramic packing is non-combustible, thermally shock-resistant, and has very low thermal conductivity, making it ideal for high-temperature sealing, gasketing, and insulation applications.
