Like all his guitars, the PRS Paul’s Guitar earned its namesake for a very specific reason. A culmination of his years of tonal expedition and technological innovation, Paul Reed Smith speaks directly to fans of PRS Guitars through this truly special model. Perhaps a sentiment too obvious to mention, the PRS experience would not be the same without Paul Reed Smith. The PRS mentality is a modern theory of guitarcraft all its own and with this indispensable element of innovation, the PRS Paul’s Guitar comes to form with the best of what the name has to offer.

The PRS Paul’s Guitar starts with a classic PRS tonewood combination of mahogany and maple. This guitar’s mahogany back is matched with a Violin-carved maple top and forms that iconic PRS double-cutaway profile, recognizable to so many avid players all around the world. Solidbody construction keeps the model stable and resonant without sacrificing the ergonomics and maneuverability associated with so many other PRS classics. Arriving on Paul’s Guitar is a Honduran rosewood fingerboard bearing twenty-two frets and distinct PRS “Brushstroke” bird inlays that capture the classic PRS aesthetic while differentiating itself from the pack. Wholly, this is a PRS model as you’ve always known with all the familiar feel in hand needed to solidify the experience.

As with all PRS creations, the magic truly starts when it's plugged in and fired up. This Paul’s Guitar comes loaded with two PRS TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) humbucker pickups – each outfitted with a mini-toggle switch with the ability to coil-tap. Incorporating the capability to tap either or both pickups from humbucker to single-coil tonality, this PRS guitar blooms with a unique spectrum of sounds and an interactive quality shared with few other guitars today. Paul’s Guitar is the result of many fruitful electronic experiments and, ultimately, a love letter to modern players. It’s a guitar for proverbially painting with the most expansive of musical palettes and achieving one’s own musical goals. In fewest words, a delight.

Paul’s Guitar is not only a showcase of fine musicality and construction, but of the smaller details of electric guitar design. A PRS stoptail bridge incorporates brass inserts and studs to take full advantage of the resonant capabilities this guitar has to offer. Alongside this bridge are PRS Phase III Non-Locking tuners with Wing buttons that match the aesthetic choice of the Brushstroke bird inlays, but also play a part in being lighter than their metal predecessors. This reduced weight leaves more energy to the vibrating strings, helping them ring out longer, remaining more musically stable and accurate.

In total, the PRS Paul’s Guitar brings together the finest of PRS design and appointments to result in a completely cutting-edge and quality instrument. Designed by Paul Reed Smith as a man with every option available to him, the resulting guitar is sure to impress. In his own words, “I don’t just like my guitar, I love it.”

Excellent Time Keeper // Terrible Wristband !
The watch itself is fantastic. When I first got it, and set it up, I set it to the time on my computer, which is as accurate as you can get. In the beginning I checked the time accuracy daily. After a few weeks my time checks changed to once, or twice a week. I never had to change the watch's time. The seconds would vary a little, in comparison to the computer clock. But, it never got more than 30 seconds either side of the computer clock. However, the watchband is a big time NO-GO! The buckle, where you connect it on your wrist, can be frustrating most of the time when you are trying to put it on. Once you've got it on, the strap that goes beyond the buckle is held down by a sliding keeper, that slides in and out depending on what you're doing. Terrible design! I wanted to buy a "Twist-a-Flex" wristband, but couldn't find one that matched the unusual design where the straps attach to the watch body. I bought the watch 4 months ago. Today, one of the 4 pins, that connect the straps to the watch body, fell out somewhere, making the watch impossible to wear. Excellent price. Excellent timepiece. Worst design for a wristband that I've ever seen.

Excellent for price, you won't be sorry
If you are looking for a watch with a lot of features that doesn't cost a lot, this is your watch. I tear up watches fairly easily in my line of work and after I killed my Seiko I decided I would hunt out a cheap watch. There aren't a lot of watches at this price range that include a stopwatch, date (with day of the week), AND has a light that is bright enough to actually read the time in the dark. This one does. The watch not dainty; it is big and bulky, bigger than I thought it would be, but not unwieldy and not super heavy. Expect it to be big. This also helps with readability (My son can read the time on this watch from the other side of the couch). The band feels rugged, made of a pliable and soft- feeling rubber and has a two- pronged belt- like closure (think 'biker belt') that keeps it secure on the wrist. Additionally, the holes for the band goes the entire length of the band so it is adjustable for really small wrists up to about 9.25" circumference. Others have complained about how easily the face scratches, but I suspect they've failed to remove the protective coating on the lens. It's a protective film that you have to get your fingernail under to pull off. Once that's off, the lens is crystal clear and fairly tough. I've had mine for a week now and used it under some fairly harsh conditions and the lens is still clear and scratch-free. My only complaint seems petty for a watch at this price point, but the strap-end hold down 'belt'--- the loop that holds down the extra length of the strap when it's buckled--- moves easily and so in use it will occasionally come off and you have to retuck the end back into it. But seriously, this is really minor. If you need an inexpensive digital that's easy to read in both daylight and darkness, ya don't mind a large and bulky, rugged- looking watch, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, get this one. You likely won't be sorry.
