The ICON Tubular Upper Control Arm Billet Cap Set is designed to protect the uniball found in ICON tubular upper control arms from dirt, water, sand, road salts, and other contaminants encountered during daily driving and off-road use. While the 1 inch PTFE-lined stainless steel uniball used by ICON is a high-quality component, its exposed position makes it vulnerable to the elements. Drawing from the uniball cap design used on ICON billet upper control arms, ICON engineers developed this easy-to-install and affordable solution to help extend uniball service life. Manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum, these caps attach directly to the uniball cup using durable 3M neoprene adhesive rings. While not eliminating normal wear, the caps help reduce premature PTFE liner failure by keeping contaminants out, while also enhancing under-hood and inner fender appearance.
