ABOUT THE ONDEMAND WEBINAR

Finishing the first draft of a novel is a major accomplishment, but that's just the beginning of a writer's work. The next step is to do a thorough revision, shaping that novel into its very best form. Top-notch revision skills are an important part of a writer's toolkit, especially now that agents and editors expect manuscripts to be well-polished. But revising a long work of fiction can be daunting. Where do you begin? How do you decide what's working and what isn't? And how, exactly, should you go about fixing things?

In this presentation, author and Literary Agent Marie Lamba breaks down the revision process, revealing steps you can take to systematically self-edit your manuscript. She shares the tricks she's discovered while editing her own novels, and shows how to spot and correct problems with essential elements like pacing, structure, characters, dialogue and plot. Marie also reveals ways to pull a reader (or an agent) deeper into your fictional world.

At the end of this presentation, you'll be ready to look at your novel with fresh eyes, and to use new tools that can take your manuscript from sloppy first draft into its final submission-ready form.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Best practices for writing your first draft
  • What to do if you get stuck
  • Systematic steps for revising that can simplify the editing process and elevate your work
  • Tricks for objectively assessing your own work
  • Ways to get outside feedback - and how to make sure it's helpful

  • Ways to suck readers in and keep them involved in your story
  • How storyboarding and outlining can help untangle plot problems
  • What to do if your book is too long‚Ķor too short
  • Elements that excite an agent or editor

Feels good on the skin not greasy
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Very nice product very concentrated has a very light fragrance that dissipates very quickly not greasy. No I do not have any redness or sensitivity I wanted to try this product anyway because I'm always looking for moderately priced good quality that travels well. And this fit the bill especially with it being on sale.

Good product , but
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
It seems to be a good product and it’s not too heavy , but still caused few breakouts here and there . Also, Avenue always has protective foil on their cream , this one didn’t have (I replaced it but new one also didn’t have it). Also, it goes away really fast because it’s only 1.3 ounces.

Gold Star

This cream is truly gentle and healing for a compromised skin barrier. I prefer this cream in the winter, when the weather is dry, and after procedures like microneedling or laser. It has never irritated my skin, and does soothe and heal. The La Roche Posay cicalfate cream is also excellent, I think it is slightly less rich, so I prefer that in humidity or the summer.

Overpriced but it works.
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I hate that I love this product. It's stupid expensive. But it's great for broken/damaged/recovering skin. I've used it post microneedling and it is the only thing that soothes, hydrates, and doesn't sting raw, red skin. Great for rashes/hives and allergic reactions too. Luckily a thin layer is often enough to do the trick. so it lasts a long time I wouldn't use for everyday moisture, but when your skin is angry, this stuff works. (Overpriced? Yes. Witchcraft? Maybe. Does it work? Yep.)
