When to Replace
- Refrigerator is not defrosting
- Excessive frost buildup on evaporator coils

Installation Tips
- Disconnect the refrigerator from its power source before beginning the repair.
- Access the part by removing the service panel inside the freezer compartment.
- The thermostat is clipped onto the evaporator tube; unclip the old part and clip the new one in its place.
- Connect the two wire leads securely.

Excellent, well built filter at a low price

An excellent build quality filter, especially for the money. Definitely top three along with Mobil-One and WIX filters. However, the regular WIX/NAPA Gold has much better filtration efficiency at smaller microns. The WiX XP has much better dirt capacity than either, but actually has lower filtration efficiency than regular WIX. Both are better in their own ways than the Purolator Boss at a few dollars more, but this is still MILES better than Fram or Bosch or STP (or god forbid, SuperTech), etc. and usually the best at a low price on Amazon.
If you run long change intervals like 7,500-10,000mi, spring the couple extra dollars for the WIX XP for the dirt capacity.
If you want the absolute best filtration efficiency (me) for a 3,000-5,000mi interval, get the regular WIX/NAPA Gold.
I don't recommend change intervals longer than 10,000mi, though I still use Mobil One Extended (best value, 20,000mi rated) or Amsoil Signature Series (25,000mi rated but expensive) for the extra protection.

Good OEM replacement, but check the contents

This filter was perfect for my 2020 ram 1500, however I had to get a replacement because the gasket was not included in the box as delivered. I contacted the seller and they replaced it within two days. The replacement unit had both the filter, and the gasket in the box it should've been.
