Appointing scalloped V-class bracing, an Action Control Neck, Claria pickup system, and tonewoods galore, the Next Generation 312ce is the perfect, portable fingerpicking machine.

Taylor has selected tonewood favorites to construct this 312ce, utilizing Sitka spruce for the top to promote a broad dynamic range, and assigning sapele for the back and sides for open, booming projection that offers a slight high-end lift. On the inside, Taylor's scalloped V-class bracing enhances tonal responsiveness, supplying a warmer and more powerful tone than what would usually exude from a small bodied acoustic. For access to all ranges the 312ce has to offer, the Venetian cutaway's sloping peak and soft curvature makes playing in higher registers more comfortable.

Working our way up Taylor's new creation, we'll find undisputed brand legacy in the neck, this time offered through an Action Control Neck, pairing a long-tenon joint for additional depth and warmth with their patented system for string heigh adjustments to make playing feel natural. On the 312ce, this neck is crafted from Neo-Tropical mahogany and delivered in the Standard Carve profile. Affixed to the neck is a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard, lined with 20 frets and faux pearl weathervane inlays across the 24.875" scale length.

For further modern utility, Taylor has installed their Claria acoustic pickup system, an undersaddle piezo pickup with proprietary preamp and soundhole mounted controls. This system delivers clear, transparent tone to amps and PA systems that can be shaped into any sound imaginable: glistening brightness, booming and robust, or lo-fi warmth can all be achieved with the Claria system. With volume, mid-contour and tone controls, the Claria system is intuitive and pronounces artistry accurately and seamlessly.
