HELP SECTION

Fixing Type - if you have small mounts on either side of the frame’s down tube you need braze-on shifters, if there are no mounts you’ll need clamp-on (sometimes referred to as band-on). Some 'aero' frames have mounts fixed to the top of the down tube, for these frames you require top mount shifters for the correct boss type (see below). There are also 'Clamp-Over' shifters that allow front & rear shifters to be used on a frame that only has a single braze-on.

Shift Type - friction shifters don't click into gear when you change, when they do click it's referred to as indexed shifting. For this to work correctly you must use the same system as your rear derailleur, if you're using friction levers you can mix and match. You don't need to worry about the front derailleur as left downtube shifters aren't indexed.

Speed - the number of cogs at the back the right shifter is designed to be used with. This is important with indexed shifting but with friction shifters you can in theory run any shifters with any speed setup, although the right lever will need to be pulled back further to shift into the larger cogs.

Shifter Boss Type - the shape of the mount (for braze-on fixings only). Campagnolo / ISO is standard and easily identified by the flat sections on either side, usually combined with a square base for the backing stop plates to fit. There are also Shimano ones with a keyhole shaped base and much less common French ones that are round with no flat sections.

Boss Thread Size - M5 (5 mm) is standard for Campagnolo / ISO bosses, but Shimano bosses will often have M4.5 (4.5 mm) threads and the French bosses would likely have 5 x 1 mm threads.

Love it!
Very comfy and warm. It’s soft and fuzzy and I love it. I will say I’m not a huge fan of the Sherpa fabric at the bottom, not because it’s not soft, just because this material, in general, seems to easily get bits of stuff stuck in it. The snuggie is slight too long (I’m 5’4) so it touches the ground sometimes and it will pick up sticks and grass and food material. I live on a farm and even if I did nothing but vacuum all day there would still be stuff on the floor and I don’t have time to vacuum all day! So, I dislike the Sherpa material going all the way down and folding like it does at the bottom. However, I’ve been extra careful with this one, and I’ve been able to physically pick any debris caught in it. I am contemplating actually cutting it and re-sewing it ever-so-slightly shorter with the outer material folded and sewn inward instead of the internal Sherpa fabric folded outward. Apart from that, it’s roomy, and I actually like the hood, which I didn’t think I would. The pocket is nice sized and also lined with Sherpa fabric. I don’t actually use the pockets to keep my hands warm but more like a kangaroo pouch to transport things like my phone, book/Kindle, or snax as I’m walking with my hands full. I travel with this thing because I’m always cold and it’s amazing. I fly with it. Yeah, I don’t care if I’m wearing this in public at the airport/on a plane, you know why? Because I’m cozy! Flight delayed? Oh, I’ve got my wearable blanket, I’m gonna nap in comfort! 😝 Airplane AC on Arctic Blast? Ha! I’m in an impenetrable cocoon of warmth and with the hood up, you can’t see me, mouth agape, as I sleep so attractively in public. You couldn’t handle seeing me that hot anyway, I’m doing you a favor! 😂 Oh, also, I took it to the hospital with me (because hospitals are basically morgues) so I washed it on hot to sanitize it. It didn’t shrink or ruin it at all, it’s fine.

Great Buy! Nice robe!
Size: Oversize, Style: Solid, Color: Grey
I love this robe. I bought it for myself as a Christmas present ( 2024) and it’s the best robe I have ever had. It’s soft, warm, long, and very comfortable. I’ve washed it several times over the past year and it still maintains its same quality, looking and feeling as brand new.

Warm and comfy
Size: Adult, Style: Solid, Color: Black
Super soft, warm and comfy. I bought the adult size. I'm 5'11" and medium build. It's roomy and comes down to the middle of my shin. Typical robe style except that it does not open. It slips on like a shirt. May not be great if you have to go to the bathroom a lot. Otherwise awesome, I bought 2 for my sister's.

Keeps me nice and warm in Alaskan winters!
Size: Oversize, Style: Solid, Color: Dark Purple, Size: Oversize, Style: Solid, Color: Dark Purple
As you've probably guessed from the title of my review, I live in Alaska. In my part of the state, the temperature gets down to as low as -25°F in the winter, so I decided to get this to help keep myself warm. (Part of it was self preservation; my mom flat-out refuses to turn the heat up past 69° F.) And it doesn't help that I have defective fat either. Apparently my body thinks I live in the Southern Hemisphere or something, because it keeps me warm in what would be winter for them, but is summer for me. The opposite happens in the winter for me. So I decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase...and let me tell you, this blanket/robe works MARVELOUSLY! It's so fluffy and warm, I rarely have to turn on my space heater anymore. Now I'll admit, I was a little hesitant to bite the bullet because I'm a BBW, and most things labeled 'oversized' really aren't. (All my plus-size peeps out there know the struggle.) However, this blanket/robe is different! Not only does it fit, I have plenty of room to spare. For the record, I'm 5'6 1/2 - the half matters, trust me - and 321 lbs. But it's a little long...which is to be expected, since it's made for somebody up 6'5. So what I did to prevent mine from dragging was tie the belt underneath the pocket every time I need to leave my room, as seen in the picture. (Yes, I can still use the pocket during this time) That way, I don't have to sacrifice the extra room in favor of a shorter length. I also like how the sherpa is inside the hood as well. Between it and the elastic cuffs at the wrist, I could practically live in this blanket/robe! I also purchased this in the adult size, but in dream blue. Again, I was nervous because I didn't know if it would fit me or not. Kinda felt like I was pushing my luck there. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded. Not only does it fit as well, I have a bit of room to spare. (See the last picture if you wanna compare the two sizes.) It's not as long as the oversized version, though. The adult size stops about halfway down past my knees, whereas the oversized can pool around my feet. It's not quite as roomy on me as the oversized one is either, but I bought it to walk around outside in, so that's a good thing. More room = more air getting inside to make me cold. As of the date of this review, however, the slit no longer has the ability to snap closed on either of these robes. That was a bit of a bummer. But everything else is perfect, including the purple and blue being true to color. If you're on the fence about this blanket/robe, just do it! You'll be glad you did.
