Improve Research Results

with Fluorodish Optical Grade Glass Bottom Culture Dishes

Get the highest quality images and video for your research with FluoroDish Cell Culture dishes.  Their optical quality glass bottom is as thin as a coverslip, which ensures the least amount of distortions and excellent heat transfer without any of the autofluoresence issues so common with plastic petri dishes.

Choose the style that suits your application. For live cell imaging, embryo research, and life science researchers working with small sample volumes, the 35mm Fluorodish with a 10mm well (FD3510) is ideal. Researchers working with expensive chemicals or experimental drugs choose the FD3510. They are also an excellent choice for microinjection applications, because they are designed with the lowest access angle for easier insertion of a micropipette during cellular microinjection. Fluorodishes are also available in 35mm (FD35) or 50mm (FD5040) sizes for cell culturing applications. For better adhesion of neurons, try the 35mm Fluorodish that is coated with poly-D-lysine (FD35PDL).

Cited in 575 reference articles (in the NIH PubMed Central® alone), our optical grade, glass bottom dishes are unique in the marketplace and conform to strict quality control standards.

Benefits

When you need quality glass bottom cell culture dishes with less optical distortion, excellent UV transmission, low cytotoxicity and guaranteed sterility, order WPI Fluorodishes.

  • Optical quality glass bottom for shorter working distances, larger numerical aperture and higher magnification
  • Non-fluorescent glass so you can discern weaker signals
  • Allows the use of immersion objectives
  • Flat bottom optimizes heat exchange
  • Less optical distortion and superior UV transmission
  • Low cytotoxicity adhesive to ensure cells' survival
  • Individually packaged and gamma sterilized
  • Multiple sizes and designs to suit your application
  • Optional Poly-D-Lysine coating for neurons
  • Dishes designed for low volumes or large growth areas

Optical Grade Glass Bottom for Exceptional Imaging Quality

The FluoroDish™ bottom glass has superior UV transmission (30% transmission at 300 nm, compared to less than 7% for the most popular German glass). Stringent quality control ensures that glass thickness of the petri dish bottom is 0.17 ±0.01 mm. That is as thin as a coverslip. The thin glass lets you use a higher magnification so you get the highest possible image resolution. Glass avoids the problems of inherent autofluorescence present in plastics and yields a higher signal-to-noise ratio by avoiding interference.

Specially Formulated Low Toxicity Adhesive

FluoroDish™ uses a specially formulated adhesive that is optically clear, durable and with extremely low toxicity. Tests by an independent laboratory have shown that the 96-hour survival rate of rat embryos typically exceeds 95% when kept in a FluoroDish™.

wonderful trans sapphic shifter romance
Format: Kindle
When life falls apart, perhaps taking a break is just what is needed. But when Natalie (said trans woman) and Wren (loner alpha wolf) first see each other, it seems that perhaps that there might be something between them, but that just makes everything a lot more complicated. After all, a bond between a human and a wolf isn't a thing, is it? This was a wonderful read and I absolutely loved this story. Yes, while I may have a strong like of shifter stories, that also means that I also have expectations, and this story most definitely exceeded them. The trans representation was great. Natalie's struggles for acceptance, both internal and external resonating, and the difficulties that she's been through definitely resonate and are far too common of trans people. She's not a strong confident lead, but a woman who has issues and who does need the help and strength of others. She leans on others for better or for worse, but that makes her more real, and seeing her grow and become more confident as the story progresses is heart warming and wonderful. And the development of the bond - very nice! Wren is just as much a flawed character, with what's she's been through, and the knowing of the knowledge that she lacks. She starts off strong, as one would expect from a werewolf, but she also grows, becoming more than what she was in the beginning as well. For all of the angst and mistakes that are made, this is a story of growth and acceptance, of being able to gain what you actually desire, and to be able to embrace the support of others, knowing that you aren't alone in the world. It is a tale of finding love, of having a bond form, and being able to take it to the next level. This really is a wonderful sapphic shifter story, and one that I would highly recommend.

Wow!
Format: Kindle
Natalie desperately needs a change to get over her messy breakup. Wren is a lone wolf. She is an Alpha and has no pack to run with. With so many things at stake, will their affair end in disaster or have they found what they’ve been looking for? I loved this fresh take on shifters with the variety of shapeshifters, the dangerous hunt and the great romance. It made this story a fantastic read and an emotional rollercoaster.

Great shifter story with unique twist
Format: Kindle
The story and characters were great. It was great to finally find a sapphic story with a trans character who was pre-op or in this case just no-op. So many authors don't want to have a trans character unless she's had surgery, like another woman won't want you if you have your original parts. Thank you so much Mrs. Abbott for the trans representation on this front. Nat and Wren are wonderful together, and I love how Wren does her best to make sure Nat doesn't ever feel less than or wrong for being herself. I am curious how being a shifter will effect Nat's transition moving forward. Hopefully there is another book and it touches on it a little.

Couldn’t put it down!
Format: Kindle
I LOVED this book. I was sad when I finished it because every time I took a break, I knew i had something to look forward to. If that makes sense. Also it needs to be said that I had grown a little tired of werewolf novels until I saw this one had a trans main character. I’m queer + cis and firmly believe even the driest crustiest tropes are fresh and new when they’re given to us by talented and passionate underrepresented voices. This book is a good example of that. It’s just so fun and hammers home the connection so many queer people feel towards monsters, the secret-keeping and the ostracism and the found family. I kept saying, “of course our human protagonist is taking to the werewolf life like a duck to water!“ BEING TRANS is as big a part of this narrative as BEING A WEREWOLF and it’s delivered to us with great skill. it is a fresh, fun, cool, tense, exciting, and sexy read.

unconditional love and miscommunication
Format: Kindle
Two women from vastly different backgrounds but equally toxic meet in instant connection. One is an alpha that doesn’t really know anything about being an alpha. The other is a trans woman that is struggling with confidence. This story is engaging from beginning to end. Well written and the connection and story are very satisfying! The love and acceptance freely given (although often misperceived) is beautiful.
