Winter has settled in, and it’s time for a cozy comfort knit, something to snuggle in as snowflakes fall. The finished shawl is bold and modern and sure to banish winter winds! Wove is a beginner-friendly triangular shawl with a dramatic basketweave border. It begins with just two stitches, then knits up in a flash in worsted or aran-weight yarn.
Most of the shawl body is knitted in garter stitch, so it is ideal for knitting with friends or on the road. The occasional textured bands are fun to work and make satisfying milestones along the way. Slipped stitches give the border an eye-catching three-dimensional effect.

Worsted Weight
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Merino Worsted by Malabrigo (100% Merino Wool; 100g/210 yds): 4 Skeins. This classic yarn from Malabrigo is single ply with incredible bounce.
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Ultra Alpaca by Berroco (50% Wool / 50% Alpaca; 100g/219 yds): 3 Skeins.
ALTERNATE YARN: Rios by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210 yds): 4 Skeins. Rios is available in minimally variegated to boldly contrasting, washable colors. 4 ply yarn from Peru/Uruguay. Use color Camel to closely match photographs.
ALTERNATE YARN: Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (100% Fine Highland Wool; 50g/123 yds): 6 Skeins. Woolstok is a heathered yarn with a beautifully soft hand. Very durable, staple yarn from Peru. Springy 2 ply yarn. Yarn Loop will send 150g skeins if available to minimize weaving in ends.
