The Violet Distortion is a punchy, flexible, and robust distortion pedal with classic JHS simplicity and mountains of interesting, distorted character. Acting as a truly clean amp-friendly device, this pedal can be imagined as an added distortion channel to your favorite clean amplifier. With its unique properties to meld and shape to any clean or driven signal, the Violet Distortion is effortlessly worked into any board or rig to cut to the chase with creative inspiration.
With a powerful EQ section, the Violet Distortion sets itself apart from other popular distortion pedals. JHS took consideration to put the Midrange control before the Violet's distortion circuit to work as a deeply effective pre-amp distortion shaping tool. Between the Violet's Midrange and Mid Sweep controls, the pedal can achieve an enormous spectrum of driven tones to a crispy overdrive to a monstrous, modern distortion. Treble and Bass controls are located in the more traditional position after the distortion circuit to make for an intuitive and familiar distortion effect interface.
