The RAP-401U is the large RAM® Tough-Claw™, a tool-free clamp base that grips round, square, and odd-shaped rails or bars from 25mm to 56mm (1" to 2.2") and finishes in a 1.5" C size rubber ball. FAQs
What size rail does the large Tough-Claw fit?
Round or square rails and bars from 25mm to 56mm (1" to 2.2") outer diameter, plus flat edges up to 56mm (2.2"). For thinner bars, the medium (RAP-404U) or small (RAP-400U) claw will hold tighter.
What is the difference between the C and B ball versions?
Same clamp body, different ball. This C version finishes in a 1.5" ball for C size arms and cradles; the B version (RAP-B-401U) finishes in a 1" ball for B size components. Match the ball to the arm you already run.
Do I need tools to fit it?
No. Place the clamp over the bar and tighten the knob by hand. It comes off just as quickly when you need to move it.
