No other symbol strikes a deep, emotional chord for Canadiansthan the iconic maple leaf. It has become synonymous with a vast expanse of land, which is filled withstunning sights and places that are as diverse as the nearly 35 million people who call Canada “home.” Now, the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates the iconic maple leaf — and therich diversity of all that it represents — with this finely detailed coin.
Special features:
• This beautiful coin offers a creative portrait of an iconic Canada. It pays tribute to the maple leaf as a national icon and all that it represents–as depicted through the use of symbols that represent Canada and its different regions.
• This stylized design has been enhanced with 5 different finishes thatshowcase the dynamic line work and interplay between each element that makes up the maple leaf.
• This $10 coin is certified to be 99.99% pure silver, and features pure gold plating that enhances and highlights the design's intricate details.
• Your coin is GST/HST exempt.
Design:
Your coin represents a map-like representation of Canada through the use of symbolism. The maple leaf's outline mimics Canada's geographical shape, stretching out to cover the far reaches of Canada. As though travelling from one coast to another, the CanadianRocky Mountains and a white-tailed deer in the leaf's left-most point represent the rugged wilderness of the western provinces. Behind the deer, wheat symbolises the grain-growing Canadian prairies. The fishing industry and the Eastern provinces are represented in the right leaf point by a fish, a boat and the famed Peggy's Point Lighthouse. A partial map of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut — home to many of Canada's native peoples — dominates the leaf's middle point, while the Tower of Peace at the base symbolises the government and the tie that binds all Canadians together.
Did you know...
• Nova Scotia's rocky shores feature hundreds of lighthouses–but noneare as famous as The Peggy's Point Lighthouse! It is one of the most photographed lighthouses inthe world and it draws half a million visitors eachyear.
• Canada is one of the largestwheat producers in the world. Wheat is the basis for many of our foods, but it's also an ingredient for other products including adhesives, cosmetics and even concrete!
• The breathtaking Canadian Rocky Mountains (commonly known as the Rockies) offer some of themost famous and well-known mountain scenery. Nearly50 of its peaks surpass the 3,350 metre-mark—in fact, Mount Robson's peak in British Columbia is the highest at 3,954 metres!
In his first design for the Royal Canadian Mint, Toronto-based artist Kwame Delfish has opted to look beyond the maple leaf as the sole representation of Canada. “The inspiration for my art comes to me as I gothrough life viewing the world–looking beyond what's directly in front of me.” His use of symbols for each region creates a unique portrait of Canada, and offers an interpretation of what the maple leaf represents when used as a national icon.
Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box.

Insoles suggested.
Size: 12, Color: All Black
Nice, business-style, soft, shiny, leather-like material, extremely light and well cushioned all around. But, there is little or no arch support, which make these shoes NOT for all day wear, unless an insole is inserted. The slip resistance is not great, but acceptable. Still, very good for the price.

Great shoes!!
Size: 8.5, Color: All Black
Really comfortable I feel like I’m walk on a cloud.
In terms of the shoe quality, I work in these for retail, they do crease quickly within 2-3 days. They fit true to size.

Great feel, great fit, great value! Not great if you need shoes that breathe well...
Size: 10, Color: Brown
What did I notice about these shoes as a Cole Haan junkie? I was looking for some "cheapies" that were somewhat close to Haan's comfort. Tried several and these are by far the closest thing! So comfortable! These shoes fit according to size- and it was sad when I had to take out the insoles that came with these for my arch support ones- the insoles that came with the Bruno's are amazing. They are stylish and seem well built but I've only been wearing them for a couple of weeks. They get 4 stars because of a few things but overall a GREAT value for money! "Downsides" include fact that they breathe as well as we do underwater- not well at all! If you struggle with foot sweat- I'd look elsewhere. Also- the soles are super comfy but I get rocks, debris, and other things stuck in the deep grooves almost every time I walk off sidewalk. Just something to be ready to pick out regularly. Overall though- strong recommendation! Hopefully they don't rip out on me in a month! Will update if they do! :)
