DESCRIPTION: Beautifully detailed and rich in old‑world charm, this vintage petit point wall hanging features a classic Victorian rose motif framed in its original mid‑century frame. Dating to the 1950s–1960s, the finely stitched petit point showcases delicate shades of pink and red roses with lush green leaves, reflecting the timeless elegance of Victorian floral design. The craftsmanship and texture add depth and warmth, making it a lovely accent for a cottage, traditional, or shabby‑chic interior. Perfect as a statement piece on its own or as part of a gallery wall, this framed needlework is a wonderful collectible for lovers of vintage décor and heirloom textiles.

HISTORY: Needlepoint is a historic form of decorative embroidery created by stitching thread or yarn through an open‑weave canvas, a technique with roots stretching back to antiquity and refined in Europe during the Renaissance and Victorian periods. Long associated with domestic artistry, the craft was widely practiced as a means of producing both functional and ornamental works for the home.

Cameo Creation, based in Montreal, Canada, was known for producing decorative objects inspired by Victorian and neoclassical design. The company specialized in molded and pressed pieces such as picture frames and wall décor, offering accessible interpretations of classical ornament. Their designs often echoed the look of earlier antiques, reflecting a period interest in historic revival styles and affordable craftsmanship.

Hard to Destroy
Style: Bunny
My puppy hasn’t been able to destroy it yet. All other toys have only lasted about 10 minutes.

Favorite fetch
We have a 70 lb Aussie and a 13 lb Havanese who compete with each other to fetch toys. This hedgehog is their favorite, largely due to the loud assertive squeak. Our big dog is a chewer and has a history of getting to any squeaker in a toy, once nearly choking when successfully removing one from a smaller toy. She still tries to chew on this toy, going straight for the nose but has not yet gotten to the squeaker which is large enough that I don't believe would be a choking hazard if she did get to it. No soft toy is indestructible, but compared to other plush toys, this is more durable. Once the nose has been chewed off, I have simply hand stitched the hole closed and from then on she's no longer interested in chewing through it. Have run through the wash and comes out fine. When one eventually wears out I order a replacement and the 2 puppies compete once again over ownership.

All toys are are hard to review as it comes down to the pet. But for what it's worth, this seems well made and is holding up to our teething puppy!
