Description:
Cortec® VpCI®-414 is a water based cleaner and degreaser that also removes temporary coatings such as Cortec® VpCI®-368, VpCI®-388, VpCI®-389 and non silicone-based waxes from metal and painted surfaces. It is also good for light oils and greases. Mostly used at room temperature, but can also be used in a heated bath for removal of heavy hydrocarbons. Provides flash rust protection after parts have been cleaned.

Packaging:
Available in 5 gallon pails. Store indoors and out of direct sunlight at 40-100ºF. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in drums or in spray.

Dilution:
Effective at low concentrations. Use diluted in water at 5% for light cleaning, 10% for medium cleaning, 20% for heavy cleaning and at 60% for coating removal.

How to Use:
Cortec® VpCI®-414 can be applied by spraying or immersion. It can be sprayed with an airless or pump type sprayer or used in a dip tank. Let the product stand (wet) for 10-15 minutes, depending on the film thickness of the product to be removed and the length of time that the coating has cured. Reapplication may be required. After that, remove the product and coating with a power washer or even with a common garden nozzle at 50-300 psi at 115-160ºF. If coating remains tacky repeat the process.

Ideal for machine tools, benches, floors, saw blades machinery, autos, trucks, railroad equipment, service bays, pit areas and construction equipment. Protects carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, brass and copper.
