A cult classic incarnate, the Gibson Victory Figured Top is a dynamic blast from the past. Fitted for exciting playing and tonality, this deep cut from Gibson's catalog comes back to life for the players of today.

Created in response to player demand, the new Gibson Victory is an '80s favorite revived and recontextualized for the modern era. This latest version of the Victory comes imbued with the DNA of its predecessors with some tweaks and enhancements to suit players. The Victory Figured Top comes built in a double-cutaway shape of mahogany. Its top is constituted of AA figured maple that ties the body together and gives it a particular pop. This body is expanded upon with a mahogany neck cut in a SlimTaper profile. Topping off the neck is an Explorer headstock bearing Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines that assist in quick string changes and solid intonation.

An ebony fingerboard lands on this model with twenty-four Medium Jumbo frets. Acrylic Dot fret inlays align to one side for an intriguing visual element, reminiscent of attention-demanding '80s aesthetics. The fingerboard's Graph Tech nut lands at the opposite end of a 25.5" scale length to a Tune-O-Matic bridge. Between these two elements, the playing experience across this Victory is fluid and sturdy for a streamlined feel fitted for dynamic musicality. Additionally, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece assists in intonation while single-ply fingerboard binding accents the dark ebony for a delightful visual combination.

The excitement of the '80s comes back in full force with a pick of dynamic electronics. Two 80s Tribute Humbucker pickups are loaded into this Victory to summon bold humbucking tones. With these two humbuckers, players can dial into retro tonality that spans a grand spectrum with the addition of push/pull master volume and tone controls. This coil-splitting integration opens the field for players to experiment and explore with exciting Gibson playability. Additionally, an inner/outer coil selection function available via the push/pull controls widens the amplified field even further as the ability to pick out sounds with even closer control comes to fruition. Lastly, this '80s icon travels in style with an included Gibson hardshell case.

Never one to count out, the Gibson Victory Figured Top is crafted for expression and playability on a new scale. Meeting '80s excitement with modern functions, this entry from Gibson is indeed, victorious.

Why are these books so hard to find in libraries and bookstores??!
Format: Paperback
Bought nearly the whole book series after reading the reviews. My 8 and 10 year old boys love these books. My 10 year old read the first book on his way to and from soccer practice. He couldn't put it down and kept telling me what he read. My boys have read all the "Magic Treehouse", "I Survived" and some "I Escaped" books, as well as "Big Nate", "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", etc. BUT these battle books are the best. They really teach about the history of the wars which have shaped our modern times. WHY are these books so hard to find in libraries and bookstores... at least in Maryland? Maybe because "Great Battles for Boys" reeks of toxic masculinity? I really wonder. In any case, great books especially if you want your boys to read serious, informative books that are interesting and entertaining.

Great for boys AND MOMS
Format: Paperback
Saw an ad for the series online and wanted to buy just one book to try. Received with 2 day Prime. Book was new. So, not only does this book have an incredible, intriguing story that sucked in my 10 year old who hates reading and struggles to read, it had me at Hello. The beginning of the book is filled with recipes! Was totally not expecting that! So for this Momma, under promise-over deliver was the theme here. Purchasing the rest of the books! Also look online for worksheets that parents have put together to go along with these books. Totally worth it. Happy Reading! AND Cooking!

Great reads for all levels
Format: Paperback
I bought 2 for a 6th grade boy I tutor. He has a beginning interest in history. He's been 'eating' these books up! These are well written, but not complex to turn a young reader off. There are many alternative resources to listed to dive into if a particular person or event sparks interest with the reader. There is appropriate vocabulary with explanations on some- others open a chance for my student & I to have a deeper discussion to clarify meaning & connect information.

Great book for an (almost) 11 year old to learn about WW2
Format: Paperback
My (almost) 11 year old says he enjoyed this book because it gives specific details and has pictures of what was going on making it easy to understand what was happening. The only thing he’d change was that the pictures weren’t in color (lol)!
