Both practical and beautiful, make a lovely ose basket in this two day workshop with willow weaver Sarah le Breton.

Also known as a Gathering, Hen or Skye basket, Sarah has developed the size and shape of this frame basket so that this advanced basket can be successfully achieved in two days.

Under the expert tutelage of Sarah, learn how to make willow hoop frames, construct a basket with willow hoops and ribs pack the weave symmetrically and how best to "flow" with the willow weavers and create your basket.

You will also learn grow to grow, harvest and prepare your willow ready for weaving.

Ability: Best for those who have already made willow baskets.

Maximum 8 participants.  £240.00 all materials included.

Please note that whilst light refreshments will be provided, you will need to bring your own packed lunch on both days of the workshop

Inspired by heritage baskets, Sarah le Breton celebrates the craft form that she loves by making beautiful, practical and innovative baskets.  Her aim is to showcase traditional techniques and highlight the beauty of natural materials, in so doing creating baskets, lighting features and chair seating that are perfect for modern living

Whilst developing as a basket maker, Sarah actively sought out training from those grounded in apprentice-led, commercial basket making.  This has included training with a fourth-generation maker on her local Somerset Levels.  Through specifically developing work that encompasses this approach, it is Sarah's aim to facilitate a living wage for UK basket makers, enabling highly-skilled knowledge of the craft to reach future generations.

Sarah was Maker in Residence at Kelmscott Manor in 2025 and during her residency, Sarah taught herself the critically endangered basketry technique of fine skein willow work, producing the most remarkable woven creel, inspired by Morris's love of fishing on the nearby Thames.

Alongside developing her practice, Sarah engaged with visitors through public workshops and demonstrations, taking inspiration from the willow trees at Kelmscott Manor that famously inspired Morris's Willow Bough wallpaper.  Sarah invited visitors to be part of the making of a collaborative piece of work, teaching participants to weave individual willow leaves that have now become part of an incredible willow bough sculpture currently on display in the Manor's courtyard

It’s hard to find a whisker that has good reviews. I was hopeful with this one because I wanted multiple attachments and speeds. When I received it I was close to returning it because the attachments were hard to take off and very fragile. I should have returned it at that point because 4 months later Ive missed the return window. I did not use often and if I did it would have broken sooner. All of the sudden it stopped spinning. I recharged it overnight and it didn’t help. Of the three speeds, non work except the middle speed that spins at a wonky pace, and turns off randomly. It’s garbage.

Best frother on the market
This company has the best frothers I have ever used, and I have gone through my fair share of frothers over the years trying to find a good one. I bought this frother as soon as I saw they had an upgraded model, although the older model I was using for the past few years was great too (I now use that frother to mix up my dog's supplements :) ). I have found most frothers to be weak, cheaply made, and eat batteries like candy, even ones rated really well here on Amazon. This one however deserves the great reviews. It is well-made and powerful and the newly added 9 different speeds fixes the "problem" the old one had of being a little too powerful at times. The newly designed stand is definitely a major upgrade. The old one was kinda awkward and would wobble, sometimes falling over when trying to put the frother back in it, but this new one is much sturdier and looks nicer, too. The battery life is also excellent. I can rarely remember the last time I had to charge the frother—it lasts a while. And the new indicator makes it easy to know exactly when it needs a recharging now. I haven't looked at another frother in years since switching to this brand. I can't recommend their frothers enough.

✨Happy with my purchase!
At the time of writing this review, I've had my frother for almost a month now, and I love it! Out of the box, it had a good amount of charge already on it, but I did charged it fully before using. I use it just once a day for my morning coffee fix, and it says I still have 80% charge left. I love that feature. I have used the frothing whisk for coffee, which is fantastic, and the regular wisk for scrambled eggs. It works, but I prefer a hand manual whisk for eggs, because I have more control. Even on the lowest speed, it made the bowl spin WAY too much, and I almost had a mess. No problems like that using the frothing wand for my milk though. The dough hook. I have no idea why a dough hook is part of the package... what would it be useful for, one cookie, one bread roll?? I will never used it. The stand itself works for holding the unit, but the holders for the individual wands could be better. I already snapped the plastic on one of them, but not matter, since I'm not using the dough hook anyway. LOL! All in all, I'm happy with my purchase! It's easy to use and clean. It's a quality built frother, the price is fair, I like the variable speed settings, and I love the fact that it shows how much charge is left. Future product improvements I would recommend: make it waterproof, and lose the useless dough hook.

Best Frother on the Market.
With the absolute highest speed and power for a frother, this is the best frother on the market, but this model, the MF06 has three features that are great improvements over previous models. 1. LED reading of the speed setting and battery life remaining. 2. One-button stop. This is huge! Other frothers require me to cycle through the speeds 'till I get to the "off" or zero speed. This means when my coffee is at the edge almost overflowing, I have to speed-up to shut-off! Not so with this frother. 3. A loop attachment that is perfect for mixing with minimal frothing. Costumer service is excellent, highly responsive, and human! Their 2- year warranty is for real. This is my third frother with this company. The first one (an earlier model) burned out and they replaced it. Twice! They replaced the second one with an upgraded model (MF05). It worked much better, but this model, the MF06 is a slimmer design, better attachments, more features, and without a doubt, the best I the market! Highly recommend.
