Expanding on the beloved Player II line, Fender introduces the Player II Modified Stratocaster electric guitar, a continuation of their seamless blend between vintage and modern specs, this time with even more upgrades for enhanced tonality, comfortability, and ease of maintenance. Noiseless pickups, locking tuners, and treble bleed circuitry are just a few of the great changes Fender made to their timeless Strat model.

Fender forged their timeless double cutaway solidbody silhouette from alder, finished in a gloss polyester Dusk dark-purple for durability, aesthetic sheen, and unmatched tonality. Attached to the body is a maple neck in the Modern "C" profile, a favorite shape of all Fender players for its distinct comfort and silky playability. Affixed to the neck is a rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges, lined with 22 medium jumbo frets across the 25.5" scale length, producing a pronounced tone that can be felt in the fingers and heard in your amplifier.

For pitch stability, Fender utilizes short post locking tuning machines to enhance intonation while making maintenance faster than ever before. Furthermore, the modern string tree paired with the Graph Tech TUSQ nut supports their testament to tuning stability, made important with the use of the installed tremolo system. Speaking of, Fender implements a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge for all things modulation, and paired with block saddles and chamfered tremolo block, this Strat is a force to be reckoned with, and one that can reliably keep a tune.

Even more upgrades await—Fender got under the hood for some electronics adjustments, starting with the Player II Noiseless Strat single-coil pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. These pickups produce that singular Strat twang while removing unwanted noise. Great with gain and fantastic crystal clean, this SSS scheme performs naturally and stunningly for all styles and genres. For further tone retention, a treble bleed circuit is installed in the master volume for maintaining high-end when rolling back on the output, resulting in a more expressive, dynamic guitar. The controls are simple and classic—a master volume, two tone knobs, and a 5-way pickup selector—and includes a push-pull mechanism on the second tone knob to introduce the neck pickup into more switching modes, allowing for a blend of neck and bridge pickups at the same time, an option not attainable with normal Strat wiring.

All this talk really makes us want to play some guitar. Up for a jam? Try the Fender Player II Modified Stratocaster for this session.

Unfolding of the right to vote in the U.S.
In my forty years of studying the history of the U.S., I find this work to be the most authoritative and complete work yet encountered. Not only is the book a thorough guide through the evolution of our democracy, it is an entertaining read. The book is a 'must' read for those who seek a perspective on many of the current issues involving voting rights.
