Het merk Gabbiano werd onlangs opnieuw gelanceerd door zijn nieuwe eigenaar, Treasury Wine Estates, een internationaal wijnbedrijf dat de intentie heeft om de allerbeste traditionele Italiaanse wijnstijlen te produceren. De wijnwereld is overspoeld met inferieure Italiaanse Pinot Grigio en Binendwines heeft jaren gewacht om er een te vinden met de kwaliteit die we zouden willen bieden. De druiven voor deze wijn zijn geoogst uit geselecteerde wijngaarden in de regio Veneto in het noordoosten van Italië, waar het koele klimaat perfecte rijpingsomstandigheden mogelijk maakt. In de wijnmakerij werd het fruit zacht geperst en vervolgens gefermenteerd met geselecteerde gisten op gecontroleerde temperatuur in roestvrijstalen tanks. Een kleine hoeveelheid Chardonnay – drie procent - is toegevoegd om extra diepte te geven. De Gabbiano Pinot Grigio is een zonnige strogele kleur. Bloemige noten strelen de neus, met nuances van peer en honingmeloen. Citrusaroma's zijn duidelijk zichtbaar in de mond en leveren complexe smaken van groene appel, sinaasappel en vage citroen. Het mondgevoel is levendig en vol van structuur, gecreëerd door de uitstekende harmonie van fruit en zuur. De wijn is licht van smaak, met een lange afdronk die hints van citrus en amandelen onthult. Great taste, good variety.

My kiddo loves these. Her favorite one is the Mexican Chicken Stew. If I can't get her to eat because she has teeth coming in, I can always get her to eat one of these. I keep them in the fridge so that they are cold and she likes them better cold. They are a little pricey but the flavors are delicious and she eats finishes them in a few minutes. I also use them for on the go if we are going to be running errands or going to the park I can just open one and she is good to go.
