Alain Gras werkt sinds 1979 met passie en met veel respect voor het terroir. 
Een uitzonderlijk terroir vanwege de ligging op de top van een heuvel, die profiteert van een klei-kalksteenbodem die de wortels van de wijnstokken dwingt om in de rots te duiken om zich te voeden.
Het is de typiciteit van dit terroir dat onze druiven mineraliteit, elegantie en frisheid geeft.
Het landgoed heeft nu 12 hectare, voornamelijk gelegen in Saint-Romain , voor wit en rood, in Meursault voor wit en Auxey Duresses voor wit en rood.
