De Il Grande Silenzio heeft zijn prachtige naar te danken aan Gran Sasso berg die ook wel Corno Grande word genoemd. Een imposante berg, dus ook een imposante wijn. Fosso Corno, een jong wijnbedrijf dat zijn oorsprong in 2001 vind. In dat jaar startte broer en zus Biscardo, in het hart van de Abruzzen dit geweldige wijnhuis. Marco en Sabrina wilde de focus leggen op de meest bekende druif uit dit gebied, de Montepulciano. Fosso Corno bezit inmiddels ruim 30 hectare aan wijngaarden die zijn gelegen op slechts één heuvel. Deze heuvel is opgedeeld in 17 verschillende wijngaarden met allemaal een ander terroir en een andere ligging naar de zon. Speciaal voor deze Fosso Corno Il Grande Silenzio heeft Fosso Corno een oude Toscaanse methode gebruikt. De methode draagt de benaming ‘’Governo all’uso Toscano’’ Een methode die het prachtige karakter van deze wijn heeft gecreëerd. Deze rode wijn is gemaakt van 100% Montepulciano druiven en afkomstig van de mooiste plots van Fosso Corno. Wanneer de druiven in de wijngaarden de juiste rijpheid hebben bereikt word 50% handmatig geoogst en klassieke gevinifieerd. Voor de overige 50% word de Governo all’uso Toscano methode gebruikt. Dit betekent namelijk letterlijk, het in snijden van de takken. Hiermee word de voedingstoevoer naar de druiven stop gezet. Deze druiven blijven aan de ranken hangen tot begin oktober. Inmiddels zijn de druiven dan ver ingedroogd waarna deze ook worden binnen gehaald. Doordat deze druiven minder sap bevatten zijn de smaken veel geconcentreerder. Dat maakt deze rode wijn dan ook zo uniek. Na de vinificatie rijpt deze rode Il Grande Silenzio in zijn geheel op Franse eikenhouten vaten gedurende een periode van ruim 12 maanden. Daarna rijpt de wijn nog enkele maanden op de fles om zo volledig tot rust te komen.Waarom Fosso Corno Il Grande Silenzio kopen?
Het verbluffende eindresultaat mag maakt dat Fosso Corno enorm trots is op deze geweldige wijn. Wanneer de wijn word ingeschonken zien we meteen de kenmerkende robijnrode kleur van de Montepulciano. Door de houtlagering is deze wat intenser dan bij een ongelagerde wijn. Wanneer we het glas met de Fosso Corno rustig walsen komen er veelbelovende aroma’s van pruimen, gedroogde bessen, zwarte thee, walnoten en licht vanille naar voren. Hiermee worden onze zintuigen al extra geprikkeld. Met de mond aan het glas gaan we deze wijn zorgvuldig proeven. Wij noteerden een volle en complexe rode wijn met heerlijke smaaknuances van zwarte bessen, drop, vanille en licht kruidige tinten. Door de aangename tannines is deze rode wijn heerlijk vol maar niet te zwaar aan het einde. Een wijn om van te genieten bij de haard maar ook bij heerlijke gerechten als konijnenstof, rosbief of stevige pasta gerechten.Shipping Notes

Amazing. The Perfect Pillow for Side Sleepers with neck pain!

I do have to update my experience. This still is a very comfortable pillow, it's just I can't sleep with it under my head (it's now my hug pillow). After using for 2 weeks, I developed severe neck spasms. Pillows are very individulized and as it turns out, I probably need a firmer pillow than this "highly" comfortable pillow can offer.
Will NOT change my rating.
Wow! I'm impressed with this pillow so far. I'm a side sleeper mostly but chose the medium-high loft 6.2" as recommended which was the perfect height. I didn't see any taller options but this has turned out just right. I did hours of research before chosing this product, which turned out to be advantageous.
It's not as cooling as my old memory foam pillow with the gel layer but it stays cool long enough that I don't have to move the pillow around to be comfortable before falling asleep. It's surprising lightweight. I like it much more than any memory foam I've ever had. The best news was that within a few days my headaches and neck pain have improved by 80%. I am really very impressed with the quality of this pillow. It is softer than I anticipated but still firm enough to keep my head elevated giving me perfect spine alignment and great support. It truly is the MOST COMFORTABLE supportive Pillow I have ever slept on!
The smell is only minor at It's worst and has nearly disappeared after just 4 days. It is a mild latex smell but definitely NOT petroleum. It's in the moderate price range at ~$100 and worth every cent. High value for the price.
I really really like this pillow and highly recommend it. Big fan! Might irder a 2nd as a backup if it doesn't last but it's so well made I feel that won't be a problem.

Not really medium, but a quality pillow nonetheless

It is absolutely the case that with this type of product, most people who review it don't actually know what they're talking about. Latex foam pillows are not like any other kind of pillow, so your expectations have to be completely different. It's not about thickness, height, or anything else but comfort. Comfort in this case comes from you choosing the correct level of FIRMNESS. Since each company has their own idea of what constitutes each level, the difficulty is figuring out which one is going to work for you. Your spine - including your neck, should not be anything but straight/aligned when your head sinks in. Regardless of what the pillow LOOKS like, it is how your head lays that matters. Latex foam is not like memory foam AT ALL, so don't expect it to be. LF bounces back immediately when you move off of it, and it can last for a very, very long time with proper care. Yes, it does have a natural, rubber odor. This fades a bit with time, but will never go away. After all, it IS a rubber product. EXPECT A SCENT! To keep yourself from being bothered, and to extend the life of the pillow, use TWO different types of pillow covers. As a first layer, I use one meant for encasement from allergens and bugs. It's waterproof (not vinyl, and not loud). It's the kind that cannot go in the dryer after being washed. The second layer is a simple cotton cover/case that you should wash and dry depending on factors like oil production, frequency in hair washing, and frequency in sheet changing, etc. Using both will dramatically extend the life of the pillow. Water is the enemy. Moisture will cause the foam to break down into pieces. The crumbling is pretty nasty, so avoid it! The case this one comes in is admittedly cheap and pathetic. Not every company has such poor ones, but it won't make a difference if you add the layers I have suggested. *This IS a real latex foam pillow. I have owned enough to know what they smell and feel like. I bought a "medium". I would call it a firm "soft", and so it wasn't for me. Find the right firmness for your neck and sleep needs, and don't blame the damn company for your choice! These ARE the correct height, they smell normal, and the price is average (they're ALL overpriced)!
*This does not seem like a completely latex product, but it is close enough that if it were actually medium firmness, I would have kept it.

Perfect size, perfect pillow.

For me, This pillow is the be all and end all when it comes to comfort. I simply melt into luxurious sleep. I have had a bad neck since my early 20’s, so a pillow that doesn’t fit me, can break me. I have spent soooo much money on pillows trying to find The One. Foam is the only way to go in that regard.
Another aspect about this pillow that is particularly important to me is how well it fits into my satin pillow case, with no room to slide around, or for the material to bunch up.
I allowed the pillow to air on a chair for 24 hours before use, but am still getting a slight odor.
