Nootmuskaat, kaneel, peper, kruidnagel, koriander, om er maar een paar te noemen, zorgen voor een buitengewone en essentiële smaakbeleving. Dompel jezelf onder in het sprookjesachtige samenspel van pittig, heet en subtiel en laat je inspireren door deze koffiecreatie.

Oorsprong en plantage
De Indiase moesson Malabar is een koffie met een uitzonderlijk lichaam en met zeer weinig zuurgraad. Licht zoete aroma's ronden de volle smaak prachtig af. De regio Malabar ligt op het meest zuidelijke punt van India, ten noorden van de stad Cochin.
Op een hoogte van 900 tot 1500 m boven zeeniveau wordt een speciale verwerkingsmethode gebruikt, de zogenaamde "moesson". Dit proces geeft deze koffie zijn unieke karakter. De gedroogde en verwerkte bonen worden geschild en verpakt in jutezakken.
De zakken worden vervolgens blootgesteld aan de moesson en moeten om de zes tot acht dagen opnieuw worden verpakt om schimmelvorming te voorkomen. Na acht tot tien weken is de koffie klaar om te worden geroosterd.
Het is licht gezwollen en bleek, maar gemakkelijker verteerbaar dan "normale" bonen.

Karakter en smaak
Uitzonderlijk volle smaak, zeer weinig zuurgraad gecombineerd met een sterk aroma. Deze koffie is fruitig, subtiel kruid en heeft een vrij volle body.

BIJZONDERHEDEN
India produceert gewassen en ongewassen koffie ("kers" genoemd). De gewassen Arabica is gelabeld als "plantage arabica" en de gewassen Robusta wordt "perkament robusta" genoemd. Voor de productie van moessonkoffie worden de koffiebonen in lagen van 10 - 15 cm geplaatst en in een wellaired magazijn verspreid. De koffiebonen worden gedurende een periode van 12 tot 16 weken blootgesteld aan de vochtige wind van de moesson en keren regelmatig om.

Als u kwaliteit en een buitengewoon koffiekarakter beschouwt, behoort Kenia tot een van de beste producenten wereldwijd! Vanwege hun zeldzaamheid zijn Keniaanse "parelbonen" een absolute specialiteit.
Als de koffieboom niet voldoende voedingsstoffen kan leveren aan de koffiebessen die helemaal aan het einde van de struik groeien, ontwikkelt de struik slechts één boon in de kers, een zogenaamde parelboon.
Deze individuele boon verzamelt zoveel kracht en groeit zo langzaam dat het aromatischer wordt dan een platte boon. Onze "parelbonen" komen uit de regio "Kiundi" en worden met de hand geselecteerd uit de jaarlijkse oogst.

Karakter en smaak
De ervaren brandmeester moet al zijn vaardigheden en vaardigheden gebruiken in het brandproces, omdat parelbonen van zeldzame schoonheid zijn. Als hij succesvol is in het branden, zal het typische chocoladeachtige karakter en de milde, kruidige volheid van Keniaanse koffie zich ontwikkelen.

Great no frills watch, love it.

This watch is a really nice and is perfect for me. It tells the time (duh!), the date and has a stopwatch feature I never use. Mostly I like that it is a no frills product, but it does its job. This is great for people that actually want something that tells the time and not some fancy gold bracelet to impress the ladies. Although I spend most of my time in front of a computer, I imagine this piece would be great for someone with an active lifestyle (biking, running, etc.). The watch itself is mostly plastic and watch-proof and the band is a fabric velcro. For a while I had the older model with a rubber strap and I like this new model much better. The strap is comfortable and easy to take on and off. I wish the strap was a little bigger though, it might be too small for someone with really fat arms. It does have an indiglo feature although I had the older model and the indiglo died after like 6 months. Hopefully this one will last. What can I say, its a watch. If you are looking for something simple with a classic design, look no further.

Good basic digital watch for women

Okay, so it's a great watch for women with small to medium wrists. Here's my pros and cons list: Pros: - Super easy to set. The package insert does NOT include instructions. This is my first Timex Expedition watch, so I had no experience going in. All you do is press Set and you use the Start and Stop buttons to move up and down, respectively, through the settings. Easy enough! - I love the simplicity of the watch. It's simple and easy to read. - It has the day of the week AND the month AND the date. I wanted to make sure any watch I get has these features. - The watch band seems high quality. It is fabric/nylon, so it should hold up for several years (we'll see I guess). - The Indiglo is pretty and works great in the dark! Cons: - I have to tighten the band as tight as possible in order to prevent the watch from wobbling around my wrist. It may be because my wrist is small and the watch itself is a bit heavy in comparison. I AM new to wearing a watch, so maybe it's just something I have to get used to. - The display is perfect, but only when looking at it straight on (when facing you directly). If you were to glance over at your watch while you're typing on your computer, you can't see the time. It's too blurry. So the viewing angles are terrible. You can only see the time if you look directly at it. Again, this might be an issue with all digital watches, but I sort of expected more in today's technological world. This is probably my biggest con and biggest disappointment. - The band holder is also nylon, so I had some trouble getting the extra band into the band holder. Now that I think more about it, I'm not sure what a better alternative would be for a nylon band... maybe if they glued the band holder on to the band, it wouldn't move around so much when trying to insert the band into the holder. Once you're inserted it, it seems to stay in place, though. So that's good. But I can see it loosening up and not working well in the future. I've only had this watch since yesterday, so I haven't been able to test its waterproofness yet. I will update this review if I am unhappy with the waterproofness. Overall, it's exactly what I was looking for: a basic digital watch that shows the day and date, with a band that is small enough to fit my female wrist. However, I would have liked it better if the price was $10-15 less than what I paid for it. UPDATE: I've since moved on to a few other watches since this one. I have concluded that I do NOT like having a cloth/nylon watch band, and I prefer the rubber/plastic bands now. The nylon band takes way too long to dry after a shower, whereas the plastic bands don't need ANY drying time. There are a lot of good plastic banded watches out there, and I've tried a few no-name brands on Amazon and have been happier with them than I was with this Timex. They are also not as heavy and floppy on my wrist.
