Neopreen: flexibel met Wind Mesh borstpaneel

Soepel, rekbaar neopreen met een lining die flink meegeeft, zodat je schouders en romp vrij blijven bewegen. Het borstpaneel is uitgevoerd in Wind Mesh: een gladde buitenlaag die de wind breekt wanneer je nat op je board staat, zodat je minder snel afkoelt. De Glideskin dubbele nek sluit zacht rond je hals.

Naden: flatlock

Bij flatlock worden de panelen plat over elkaar gestikt: sterk en niet schurend, maar de steken gaan door het neopreen heen, waardoor er water doorheen sijpelt. In warm water merk je daar weinig van en je betaalt er minder voor. De duurdere Mystic-pakken vanaf de Star hebben gelijmde en blind gestikte naden die het water buitenhouden.

De rits zit op je rug met een brede opening, waardoor je makkelijk in en uit het pak stapt.

Wanneer in Nederland?

Met blote armen heb je wat warmer water nodig dan met een fullsuit, grofweg 19 tot 23°C. Dat is hier de warmste periode, juli en augustus, en op een echt mooie dag. Wil je je armen toch bedekt houden, kies dan de fullsuit. Voor frisser water ga je naar een 4/3 met gelijmde en gestikte naden. Op het IJsselmeer bij Hindeloopen en het Valkenburgse Meer warmt ondiep water sneller op dan de Noordzee.
