Met zijn vrouw Milena bouwde hij het bedrijf op, met het doel wijn te produceren onder eigen label. De wijnen worden uitsluitend van eigen druiven vervaardigd. In de loop van de jaren zijn dochter Francesca en de zonen Giuseppe en Isidoro ook in het bedrijf actief geworden. Het is een bijzonder familiebedrijf dat door veel innovatie en samenwerking met de universiteit van Turijn een reputatie heeft opgebouwd waarmee zij tot de top van de Barolo behoren. Zij maken hun Barolo's op traditionele wijze: nadruk op elegantie met een verfijnd bouquet en een gebalanceerde smaak. Dit bereiken zij door naast roestvrijestalen vaten voor de vinificactie te werken met grote foeders van Sloweens eiken voor de rijping. De Barolo Albe is een blend van Nebbiolo druiven uit drie wijngaarden: Fossati, Coste di Vegrne en La Volta. Albe in het Italiaans verwijst naar de zonsopkomst boven de drie wijngaarden. De wijngaarden worden duurzaam bewerkt. De oogst in handmatig en vindt plaats in de tweede helft van oktober. De nauwkeurige selectie van de trossen gebeurt in de wijngaard. De vinificatie duurt 30 tot 40 dagen en de rijping in Sloweens eiken rond de 3 jaar. De wijn is robijnrood, heeft geuren van rood fruit, pruimen maar ook paddestoelen. De smaak is verfijnd en complex en de zuren en zachte tannines maken hem compleet.De familie Vaira omschrijft de Barolo Albe als "Barolo zoals Barolo bedoeld is". Hij komt uit hun wijngaarden Fossati, Coste di Vergne en La Volta. Hij heeft karakter, verfijnd evenwicht, prachtige aroma's en rijpe tannines. De wijngaarden worden duurzaam bewerkt. De oogst is handmatig in de tweede helft van oktober. De vinificatie duurt 30 tot 40 dagen en de rijping in Sloweens eiken rond de 3 jaar. De wijn heeft geuren van rood fruit, pruimen en paddestoelen. Better cologne type deodorant that's not as EXTREME as dramatic competitors.
Style: Palo Santo, Size: 2.65 Ounce (Pack of 1)
So far so good with this deodorant regarding how well it performs through a full day of light activity (morning yoga, playing with the dog, carrying kids around, etc.). The scent is light and I notice it periodically throughout the day, but it's light enough to not be overwhelming or smell like a strong cologne. The fragrance is very "Man Fireplace Candle" type scent, but in a good way that is perfect for its purpose. My biggest complaint is the deodorant is very malleable, almost putty-like, so it tends to get squished out the sides of the lid when open/closed daily, therefore making it messy. This is relatively avoidable by just winding down the wheel each time, but is "annoying" as opposed to just using and capping. It glides on smoothly and feels good on skin or "hairy pits". A little pricier, but it's worth it in my opinion. Will be purchasing again.

This is the most amazing smelling deodorant I've ever used, and unique, too. Very smooth just like their shaving cream, and I haven't had any irritation. I've been complimented by a few people now on how good I smell.
