Het produceren van wijn is een familiekunst die al meer dan 80 jaar wordt doorgegeven. Luigi Barbanera, “Gigino”, gaf zijn passie door aan zijn kinderen, die deze koesterden. Deze wijn is bedoeld als eerbetoon aan zijn vasthoudendheid, een gebaar van genegenheid gericht op het vieren van zijn nagedachtenis. Traditie en oenologische innovatie komen in dit product samen in de intense kleur, soms paars, waar duidelijke tonen van rode bessen zoals bosbessen, wilde bramen en fruit in spirit vervagen in hints van witte chocolade, vanille en geroosterde kruiden. Met een uitstekende structuur, persistent in de mond en met een sterk evenwicht tussen reuk- en smaaksensaties.

Het intens fruitige boeket valt op door hints van rijp rood fruit, voornamelijk zwarte kersen en zwarte bessenjam, die overgaan in fijnere en complexere tonen van vanille en karamel. In de mond onthult het een sterk en gestructureerd maar toch elegant karakter, verzacht door zachte en goed geïntegreerde tannines. Een wijn met een volle en aanhoudende afdronk met duidelijke verwijzingen naar gedroogd fruit, bittere chocolade en arabicakoffie.
