Het wordt beschouwd als één van de beste wijngaarden in Saint-Émilion, gelegen naast Château Ausone en toen de familie Moueix het kasteel kocht, verenigden ze het met Château Magdelaine, een aangrenzend Premier Grand Cru Classé dat in 1952 door Jean-Pierre Moueix werd aangekocht. In de wijngaarden zijn enorme werkzaamheden verricht en in 2022 werd een nieuwe ultramoderne kelder in gebruik genomen. De geproduceerde wijnen staan bekend om hun elegantie, finesse en complexiteit.

Beschrijving: Toast, vanille en ingemaakt donker fruit, krachtig, zwart fruit, lange afdronk en fijne tannine.

Lekker bij: Vlees van de BBQ met aardappeltjes.

Leuk weetje: Een perceel van kalksteen en blauwe klei met stokken die gemiddeld 25 jaar oud zijn. In roestvrijstalen en betonnen vaten vergist en gerijpt in Franse eikenhouten vaten voor 16-18 maanden, waarvan 50% nieuw.
