It builds on the proven reliability of the HyperDeck platform and extends it with native 8K support, HDR workflows and modern codecs that significantly reduce storage requirements without sacrificing image quality. Designed for studio racks or mobile production setups, it fits seamlessly into contemporary broadcast infrastructures. 

A large seven inch HDR touchscreen dominates the front panel, offering a sharp 1920 by 1200 display with 2000 nit brightness and full DCI‑P3 colour coverage. This integrated screen provides clear monitoring in HDR, along with a rich heads‑up display showing timecode, format, media status and audio meters. Touch gestures allow intuitive scrubbing through clips using a mini timeline, while dedicated transport buttons ensure familiar, reliable operation during critical recordings.

Recording capabilities are designed for modern broadcast efficiency. Native 8K up to 4320p60 can be captured in H.265 or ProRes, enabling high quality masters with dramatically reduced file sizes when using H.265. Support for an optional internal NVMe cache helps eliminate dropped frames if media becomes full or momentarily slows down, making long‑form recording more secure. Media can be recorded to dual CFast 2.0 slots or to fast external storage via USB‑C, offering flexibility for different workflows. 

Connectivity is extensive and broadcast ready. Quad Link 12G‑SDI enables full 8K input and output, complemented by HDMI, analog component and composite inputs for archiving legacy sources. Professional audio is supported through balanced XLR inputs, consumer RCA inputs and extensive embedded audio over SDI and HDMI. Timecode, reference input, RS‑422 control and 10G Ethernet ensure smooth integration into existing broadcast control systems and automated environments.

Advanced monitoring tools are built in, including scopes, HDR metadata support and 33‑point 3D LUTs for accurate colour evaluation and quality control. With both AC and DC power connections, front‑panel speaker and headphone output, this recorder is equally at home in fixed installations or on location.
