Deze Salentein Barrel Selection Malbec komt uit de prestigieuze Uco Valley in Mendoza, gelegen op 1.200 meter hoogte aan de voet van het Andesgebergte. Bodegas Salentein cultiveert hun Malbec-druiven in deze ideale terroir, waar de grote temperatuurverschillen tussen dag en nacht zorgen voor optimale rijping en concentratie. De wijn rijpt in eiken vaten, wat bijdraagt aan de complexiteit en elegantie.

Smaakprofiel

Deze Malbec presenteert zich met een diepe robijnrode kleur met paarse reflecties. Het intens bouquet onthult aroma's van rijpe bramen, pruimen en zwarte kersen, aangevuld met hints van vanille, cederhout en zwarte peper door de vatenrijping. In de mond is de wijn vol en krachtig met soepele tannines, smaken van cassis, donkere chocolade en subtiele noten van kaneel en kruidnagel. De afdronk is lang en elegant met een mooie balans tussen fruit en hout.

Spijscombinaties

Perfect bij gegrild rundvlees, lamsbout met rozemarijn, rijpe kazen zoals Manchego of een chocolademousse. Ook uitstekend bij wild en stevige pasta's met tomatensaus. Serveer op 16-18°C.

Although this has nothing to do with the product, it arrived a day later than previously stated. Making me have to create a makeshift room divider the day it was actually needed. When the product arrived it arrived in a box that showed no evidence of damage. Once opened, divider was found inside a plastic cover. Great protector for dust or scratching. The divider was fully assembled so there was nothing for me to do but remove it from packaging and use it where needed. After further inspection the divider was not only cheap and flimsy looking it was absolutely unstable. It would wobble and appears to have been assembled in a rush making some panels crooked. I noted significant damage to the bottom portion of some of the panels both front and back. It does not feel like an item worth the price. The color is as advertised and the product had no smell. The sizing was accurate.
