Hoe speel je Tangram City? Spelers plaatsen stadstegels op hun speelbord, rekening houdend met geheime informatie over welke tegel de volgende ronde beschikbaar komt. Het doel is om zo efficiënt mogelijk de stadstegels te plaatsen en een balans te vinden tussen strategie en vormgeving. Aan het einde van elke ronde worden de steden beoordeeld, en de speler met de beste stad wint.
