De Mauritiushof werd gebouwd in de 13e eeuw en was toen de leesplaats van de monniken uit Niederaltaich (Beieren). De naam "Mauritiushof" vindt zijn oorsprong in de naburige parochiekerk, die is gewijd aan St. Mauritius. Het historische pand kwam in 1799 in het bezit van de familie Gritsch. Vandaag de dag staat de zevende generatie aan het roer. Traditie en traditionele kennis gaan hier hand in hand. Met name de bodemstructuur is uniek en is terug te vinden in elke wijn van Gritsch. De basis voor de elegante Kalmuck Grüner Veltliner Federspiel uit Neder-Oostenrijk zijn druiven van het druivenras Grüner Veltliner. De druiven groeien onder optimale omstandigheden in Neder-Oostenrijk in verschillende wijngaarden op de linker oever van de Donau. De wijnstokken staan diep geworteld in een bodem van leem, zand en löss. De druiven worden uitsluitend met de hand geoogst en direct naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Hier volgt een strenge selectie om de kwaliteit te waarborgen. Hierop volgt de persing en de fermentatie in roestvrijstalen tanks bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur. De Kalmuck Grüner Veltliner straalt met een schitterende gele kleur in het glas. Met in de geur aroma’s van lelies, roos en viooltjes. De fruitige delen van het bouquet worden aangevuld met meer fruitig-balsamico nuances. Ideaal voor wijnliefhebbers die houden van zo min mogelijk restzoet in de wijn. Great for All Cars but Especially German Cars

I use this in our used VW we bought and it helps keep the carbon build up down with their direct injection feature. I pair it with their oil additive which helps lubricate the rings so they don't stick as much.
