Bij deze laboratoriumtest wordt het genoom (DNA) van de�pathogenen (Borrelia Babesia Anaplasma tekenencefalitis (TBE)�virussen rickettsia) dat in de ge�nfecteerde teek aanwezig was�gemeten.

Langs de �one-step� polymerase-keten-reactie (PCR) wordt het�DNA van de pathogenen vermeerderd en aansluitend gedetecteerd�middels hybridisatie van zeer specifieke genprobes.

Deze gestandaardiseerde methode verhoogt de specificiteit en�sensitiviteit in vergelijking met conventioneel DNA-onderzoek die�alleen een PCR gebruiken zonder prohybridisatie.

Bij deze test kan het risico van mogelijke infectie van de betrokkene�vroegtijdig worden beoordeeld. Mogelijke symptomen kunnen�veiliger worden ge�nterpreteerd uitgelegd en therapeutische�maatregelen kunnen al in een vroeg stadium worden genomen.

Een teek kan ernstige ziekten overbrengen: de zogenaamde ziekte�van Lyme (Borreliose) of in zeldzame gevallen de lente-zomer�encefalitis meestal slechts als TBE benoemt. Bovendien kunnen�door teken overgedragen co-infecties met Anaplasma en Babesia�optreden. Omdat je nooit weet welke ziekteverwekkers een teek�bij zich draagt moeten tekenbeten altijd zeer serieus genomen�worden.

De uitslagen van de bloedtest dienen als basis voor een individuele�therapie en moeten met een arts of therapeut besproken�worden.

Cheap Gshock replacement, good value
For $13 this is a steal. It's essentially a casio illuminator w larger bright dial, press once for 5 sec of light then goes dark. Date, time (12 and 24hr), stop watch. The basics, all I needed. A+ Edit: updated the waterproofing is non-existent. It's not even water resistant so treat accordingly don't bring into the shower. The face plastic cracked on me from moderate use, still legible and since I don't test it with water not an issue. The buttons are very sensitive so activities like lifting can cause the bottom left button to depress and switch to stopwatch, or engage the stopwatch. After over a year use I still rank this as a good value. It does the one thing I wish Casio would do is improve light illumination time. The buttons depress easier than Casio's which is a bonus imo, but can be aggravating to some. The water resistance doesn't exist so purchase accordingly.

Excellent Time Keeper // Terrible Wristband !
The watch itself is fantastic. When I first got it, and set it up, I set it to the time on my computer, which is as accurate as you can get. In the beginning I checked the time accuracy daily. After a few weeks my time checks changed to once, or twice a week. I never had to change the watch's time. The seconds would vary a little, in comparison to the computer clock. But, it never got more than 30 seconds either side of the computer clock. However, the watchband is a big time NO-GO! The buckle, where you connect it on your wrist, can be frustrating most of the time when you are trying to put it on. Once you've got it on, the strap that goes beyond the buckle is held down by a sliding keeper, that slides in and out depending on what you're doing. Terrible design! I wanted to buy a "Twist-a-Flex" wristband, but couldn't find one that matched the unusual design where the straps attach to the watch body. I bought the watch 4 months ago. Today, one of the 4 pins, that connect the straps to the watch body, fell out somewhere, making the watch impossible to wear. Excellent price. Excellent timepiece. Worst design for a wristband that I've ever seen.
