Precision Performance & Power

At the core of the HKM-S5M sits an 800W rear-wheel-drive motor that has been refined through seven generations. The rear-drive architecture ensures optimal weight distribution and grip, especially when accelerating on loose surfaces. The motor controller uses proprietary energy management software that continuously adapts power delivery based on terrain, battery state, and rider input — eliminating the jerkiness common in lesser scooters. The result is a seamless surge from 0 to 31.9 mph (51.3 km/h) that feels controlled yet thrilling.

Rapid Acceleration & Hill Mastery

The torque-rich motor effortlessly tackles 30° inclines — maintain momentum where others stall. Riders weighing up to 265 lbs experience consistent hill performance thanks to a high-efficiency drivetrain.

Smart Energy Management

The onboard system intelligently balances power and efficiency. Three ride modes (Eco, Standard, Sport) let you prioritize range or performance. Regenerative braking recovers energy on deceleration, extending usable range.

Enduring Battery, Extended Journeys

Built around a 48V 13Ah (624Wh) lithium-ion pack, the HKM-S5M sets a new benchmark for range in its class. Real-world testing consistently yields 32.9–37.9 miles (53–61 km) on a single charge — enough for multi-day urban commutes or a long weekend trail ride. The pack's layered protection system monitors temperature, voltage, and current 20 times per second, preventing overcharge, over-discharge, and short circuits. A quick-charge compatible interface (charger sold separately) reduces downtime significantly compared to conventional scooters.

Battery Capacity 624Wh (48V / 13Ah)
Typical Range 32.9–37.9 mi (53–61 km)
Charge Time (0-100%) ~6 hrs (standard); ~3.5 hrs (quick charge compatible)
Battery Management 20Hz monitoring, multi-layer protection

Ultra-Light, Remarkably Strong

Weighing only 48.7 lbs (22.1 kg), the HKM-S5M is one of the lightest scooters in its performance tier. The aerospace-grade aluminum frame has been topology-optimized to remove every gram of unnecessary material while increasing torsional rigidity by 18% compared to previous generations. The folded dimensions (43.3 x 18.9 x 19.7 in / 110 x 48 x 50 cm) allow it to fit in compact car trunks or under a desk. A patented folding mechanism with secondary lock ensures safe, rattle-free transport.

Proprietary Carbon Fiber Suspension

Traditional steel springs add weight and suffer from progressive sag. The HKM-S5M's springless carbon fiber shock absorption technology uses layered composite leaf elements that respond instantly to terrain variations. This system provides up to 1.2 inches (30 mm) of travel without the maintenance or weight penalties of coil springs. Combined with the 10-inch pneumatic tires, it smooths out cobblestones, roots, and expansion joints — you feel connected to the road, not beaten by it.

Springless Carbon Fiber

Patent-pending multi-leaf carbon architecture eliminates metal fatigue. Consistent damping across temperatures from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

Precision Control

Tuned for both compliance and feedback — the front and rear suspension work in unison to keep the tires planted during cornering and braking.

Confidence-Inspiring Safety

Stopping power is non-negotiable. The HKM-S5M mounts dual hydraulic disc brakes with 140 mm rotors front and rear. The sealed hydraulic system eliminates cable stretch and provides progressive modulation — braking distance from 15.5 mph (25 km/h) to zero is just 10.8 ft (3.3 m) on dry asphalt. 10-inch tubeless off-road tires with a dual-compound tread deliver grip on loose gravel, wet pavement, and packed dirt, while an integrated LED headlight (300 lumens) and rear brake light enhance visibility in low light.

Sleek Aesthetic, Ergonomic Control

The cockpit features a one-click folding mechanism, a bright 3.5-inch LCD display showing speed, battery, mode, and range estimation, and a thumb throttle with haptic feedback. The deck is wrapped in a anti-slip silicone pad with a subtle geometric pattern that channels water away. Every edge is chamfered, every weld is polished — the HKM-S5M is as much a design statement as it is a mobility tool.

3.5" LCD Display

Sunlight-readable panel shows real-time speed, battery percentage, trip distance, and selected mode.

Thumb Throttle

Ergonomically positioned for fatigue-free riding. Haptic vibration alerts when switching modes or at low battery.

Modular Build

Tool-less access to battery and controller. Swappable components reduce repair time — backed by 3,000+ service points.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the 32.9–37.9 mile range calculated?
Range is tested under real-world conditions with a 165 lb rider in Eco mode on mixed terrain with moderate elevation changes. Actual range varies based on rider weight, speed, terrain, tire pressure, and ambient temperature. Sport mode and frequent hill climbs will reduce range towards the lower end.
What does "quick-charge compatible" mean?
The HKM-S5M's battery management system supports higher current input. Using an optional quick charger (sold separately), you can charge from 0 to 100% in approximately 3.5 hours. The included standard charger takes around 6 hours for a full charge.
Is the scooter water-resistant?
The HKM-S5M is designed with an IPX5-rated water-resistant construction for the motor and battery compartment, meaning it can withstand splashes and light rain. However, it is not intended for submersion or heavy downpours. Always dry the scooter after exposure to moisture.
Can the battery be removed for charging?
Yes, the 48V battery pack is modular and can be removed without tools. This allows convenient indoor charging or swapping with a spare pack (sold separately) for continuous riding.
What type of maintenance does the carbon fiber suspension require?
The springless carbon fiber system is virtually maintenance-free. Unlike coil springs, it does not sag or corrode. Periodic inspection of the composite leaves and pivot points is recommended every 500 miles.
How does the dual hydraulic brake compare to mechanical brakes?
Hydraulic brakes offer superior modulation, require less finger effort, and self-adjust for pad wear. They maintain consistent performance in wet conditions and eliminate the need for cable tension adjustments.

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.
