This YuiSenri Gyuto is built on a hand-forged blade by Satoshi Nakagawa, a highly regarded Sakai blacksmith known for producing high-performance Japanese kitchen knife blades. Each blade is individually forged and bears the original “Nakagawa” mark along with steel identification engraved on the reverse side.

The blade is crafted from Yasuki Blue Steel #1 (Aogami #1), a high-carbon steel known for its exceptional hardness, edge retention, and long-lasting sharpness. It is widely used in professional-grade Japanese knives where cutting performance is critical.

After forging, the blade is refined and finished by skilled sharpeners before receiving the YuiSenri mark, completing the knife as a fully finished professional kitchen tool.

Blue Steel #1 provides a strong balance of sharpness and durability, making it suitable for chefs who require high performance in demanding kitchen environments.

The handle features an octagonal ebony design with buffalo horn ferrule, offering a traditional Japanese aesthetic with excellent balance and grip stability.Main photo images show 240 mm's.

ya get what ya pay for.
Size: 58mm Fits Breville Dual Boiler/Oracle/Gaggia/E61
WDT tool came with bent needles and they are spaced too closely together and are too long to maintain position and bend way too easily and its receiver is a bit short and not weighty enough to be stable with its aspect ratio. Tamper purports to be a calibrated force tamper while it is a simpler spring-loaded depth-setting tamper ground distribution tool has a gap that gathers grounds if it is not perfectly closed. portafilter screen is pretty dang good the dose funnel chamfer is not at the same height as the rim of the portafilter, making me overfill for estimate fits my Casabrews Ultimate setup pretty well. blower bulb is woefully undersized to produce enough force to eject extraneous grounds

Simple, high-quality solution that makes the transition from grinding to tamping much cleaner!
Color: Black, Size: 58mm, Color: Black, Size: 58mm
I wanted to streamline our espresso workflow. I added the Normcore Magnetic Dosing Funnel V2 to our kit because loading up the portafilter & using the WDT was causing a mess on the counter. This funnel stays put and looks great. is it required? No. Does it work great? Yes! The Good: What Works Well Rock-solid attachment: The magnets are impressively strong. It snaps onto the portafilter and doesn't budge. WDT’s Best Friend: It provides the necessary height to use a WDT tool without making a mess. Low Profile: Unlike some "tall" funnels, this one is compact enough to fit under many grinder dispensers while still attached to the portafilter. Premium Finish: The matte black anodized aluminum feels incredibly durable and matches high-end espresso gear perfectly. The Not-So-Good: Price Point: It is definitely a premium option. You can find plastic versions for less, but they won't have the same weight or magnetic security. Pro Tips: Maintenance: This is anodized metal; do not put it in the dishwasher. Just wipe it with a dry cloth or a dedicated coffee brush. Magnet Care: Keep the bottom magnets clean. If coffee oils or grounds build up on the magnets, the "snap" won't feel as secure. Compatibility: Make sure you pick the right size!

Reduces Mess, Lightweight, Strong Magnets, Fit is OK
Color: Black, Size: 58mm
I've been stubborn about buying a funnel - yet another coffee tool to simplify and optimize, right? But, it really does reduce the mess when using the WDT tool. The magnets are quite good, a different brand funnel (with magnets) wouldn't even stick to my portafilter. The fit is OK - it does slide around on my 58mm basket if I move the funnel. But, that hasn't been an issue because the magnets keep it in place. The shape is also a bit more tasteful than most of the generic funnels. Oh, and beware - if you're grinding directly into your portafilter basket (hands-free), the funnel may not fit into your grinder's portafilter-holder. This was the case with my DF54 grinder. Overall, I'd say it was worth the extra ~$4 USD over generic competitors.

Great coffee dosing funnel
Color: Silver, Size: 58mm
Normcore products seem to all be high quality. This funnel works very well. Strong magnets hold it securely to the portafilter. My only small complaint is I wish it was just slightly taller on this 58mm version. Just a few millimeters of additional side height would be a great advantage at times when the fine ground coffee decides to come out of the dosing cup in a clump. This current model still makes it much better than with no funnel and does the job quite well.
