Alum, Aluminum Triformate, Copper Sulfate & Ferrous Sulfate

A practical starter kit for natural dyeing, botanical printing, eco printing, bundle dyeing, and color exploration.

This kit brings together four essential mordants and color modifiers used by natural dyers. Mordants help natural dyes attach more strongly to the fiber, improve wash and light fastness, and allow you to create a wider range of shades from the same dye bath.

With alum or aluminum triformate as your main mordant, and copper and iron as post-dye modifiers, this small kit opens up a beautiful world of natural color: brighter yellows, deeper greens, rich browns, soft olives, grays, antique tones, and more muted historical shades.

What is included

100 g Alum
A classic mordant for wool, silk, and other protein fibers. Alum helps create clear, bright natural dye colors.

100 g Aluminum Triformate
A practical and easy-to-use mordant suitable for both protein and cellulose fibers. A good choice for dyers who want a simpler mordanting process.

100 g Copper Sulfate
A powerful color modifier. Copper can deepen yellows, shift colors toward green, enrich browns, and create more antique, earthy tones.

100 g Ferrous Sulfate
Also known as iron. Iron is used in very small amounts to sadden, darken, and shift colors. It can turn yellows olive, tannins gray or black, and bright colors into softer, more muted shades.

Each kit comes in a small cardboard box and includes an A4 instruction leaflet with basic WOF percentages and beginner-friendly usage notes.

Fantastic Product
I bought these hangers to mount my speakers. They are heavy duty, has a curl at the end to keep the speakers from falling off, and I was able to mount them and have clearance underneath. Awesome!!

Does it's purpose with style
We used these in our pantry and dining room for shelves and they turned out well. The only reason they are hard to install is because of the design (which is very nice) so it is worth it. It just takes time when you you are hanging the shelves, to do it correctly. While they can hold a lot, we realized that a bunch of cans or jars cannot go on these shelves. Luckily we had another option for heavy items (Example: We had about 40ish pounds of cans/jars on a 1x12 board that is 33 inches long with 2 of these brackets...and it was too much). If you do not need to hold a lot of weight, these shelves are a for sure, for the price and quality. If you NEED they for something heavy, then you probably will have to go with something more practical from a hardware store. We LOVE them for our pantry!

Worked as intended
Hubby used these to mount a shelf above a long span of windows. They worked great and allowed a clean visual appearance.

Nice brackets
These are nice sturdy brackets for butcher block shelf however they do bend a bit. We installed in a corner so was able to pin to side wall no problems on big shelf. The smaller shelf about 18” moves a bit up and down when loading. Now very little and no worries about it but not rock solid
