Overview

PLEASE NOTE: The Micro DeBEE requires a source of pressurized, clean, dry air in order to run. 0-35°F dew point, 50 SCFM @ 100 psi for 30,000 psi (2,000 bar) max. The standard air supply piped standard in many labs is not sufficient for this purpose. An air compressor is not included with purchase. If your lab is not equipped to supply this kind of air pressure, we recommend that you consider the motorized Nano DeBEE unit instead, which is more suitable for most customers.

The capabilities of the larger DeBEE Homogenizers in a portable, cost-effective unit. Obtain the exact particle or droplet size required with a low D(0.9). Or, disrupt the toughest cells with the highest yield. So advanced, it's actually simple!

Air Operated Ultra High Pressure Homogenizer with Modular Homogenizing Cell. Capable of the Highest Processing Intensity. No Moving Parts in Homogenizing Cell. Unmatched Results - Size Reduction to Nanometers. Cell Rupture with the Highest Yield. Inherently Explosion Proof. Additional Nozzle Sets Included.

The 5 liters per hour user-friendly Micro DeBEE is suitable for a wide range of applications, including Cell Disruption, Particle Size Reduction, Nano / Micro Emulsions, Nano / Micro Dispersions, Polymers, and Liposomes.  The core technology - BEEI's proprietary homogenizing cell - ensures excellent results in fewer passes.

Lead Time 2 - 4 weeks

The Micro DeBEE high-pressure homogenizing system combines the homogenizing forces of most other homogenizers into a single instrument:

  1. Before passing through the nozzle, a turbulent flow may be created to vigorously premix the product (like stirrers and agitators).
  2. A large pressure drop upon exiting the nozzle causes cavitation (like ultrasonic homogenizers).
  3. The product, which is travelling fast enough to cut metal, then impacts the end fixture in the Emulsifying Cell, creating a strong physical force (like bead mills).
  4. Shear forces are present throughout the Emulsifying Cell due to changes in relative velocity in the moving liquid.  These shear forces are higher than in rotor-stator homogenizers.

All of the above forces may be adjusted in the Micro DeBEE, allowing for highly customized operation in order to achieve the desired particle size in a highly reproducible manner with minimal passes and processing time.

FAQ

This is a big decision. Can we try a Micro DeBEE before we purchase it?

Yes, for a fee. If your samples are in no way hazardous Micro DeBEE can test and optimize your high-pressure homogenization process for you, provide an on-site demo, or you can lease a unit for one to two months. If you're interested in any of those options, shoot us an email or give us a call and we'll be happy to discuss costs and help set it up.

What is the maximum viscosity substance that the Micro DeBEE can handle?

Very high. Well over 20,000 cps. The rule of thumb with the Micro DeBEE is that if it's liquid and you can pump it, you can homogenize it in the Micro DeBEE. At very high viscosities, however, you may need to use air pressure to feed the sample into the machine.

If we had to draw a line, it would be at 100,000 cps.

What is the procedure for cleaning or sterilizing the Micro DeBEE?

Most users simply run a suitable solvent through the system. Done properly, this is generally satisfactory to meet regulations pertaining to the sterilization of instrumentation (FDA, etc.).

It seems like this is too good to be true. You get a much higher flow rate than with the Nano DeBEE but at basically the same cost. What's the catch?

The Nano DeBEE is a complete system - it does not require anything else to operate. The Micro DeBEE requires a source of clean, dry, pressurized air. Therefore, while the price for the instrument itself seems great, the cost of a large air compressor and dryer increases the total system cost substantially. Additionally, air operated units are much louder which many customers dislike. Otherwise, the Micro DeBEE is certainly an attractive option.

I am trying to homogenize gas into a liquid. Would the Micro DeBEE be suitable for my application?

No. Products which may contain significant amounts of gas should be degassed before homogenization in the Micro DeBEE. Gas bubbles in the feed fluid implode when pressure is generated, which creates water-hammer effect or extreme pressure spikes that are detrimental to the equipment.

Excellent athletic socks
Size: Large, Color: (100) White / White / Black
Solid athletic socks at a great price. Not too thick, not too thin. Second time I've purchased them. They last longer than most socks I've used in the past too. Only concern is the sizing. I may be reading the sizing chart wrong, but for my size 13 feet it says XL are the correct sock size. I've ordered Large twice and they're perfect. I would imagine the size Large socks would also fit up to size 14 shoe, but probably need to go with XL if foot is lager than 14.

Quality No Show Socks That Are Comfortable and Durable
Size: Large, Color: (100) White / White / Black
These Under Armour no show socks are great for everyday training and casual wear. The cotton blend feels comfortable and they stay in place throughout the day. Getting six pairs in a pack is solid value for a quality brand. They hold up well after multiple washes and the no show style works great with most athletic shoes. A reliable go-to sock.

Comfortable
Size: Large, Color: (001) Black / Black / White
I recently picked up a pair of Under Armour socks, and they’ve quickly become my go-to choice for daily wear and workouts. From the first wear, the fit felt snug and supportive without being too tight. The fabric is lightweight yet durable, and it does a great job wicking sweat — keeping my feet dry even during longer runs or intense gym sessions. One of the things I appreciate most is the arch support and cushioning in the right places. It adds just enough padding where I need it, especially under the ball and heel of the foot, which makes a noticeable difference on days when I’m on my feet a lot. The socks also have a nice breathable mesh pattern that improves airflow.
