Terry Fox was eighteen years old when he was told that he had cancer and that his leg would have to be amputated. He accepted the verdict with courage and grace. "Nobody is ever going to call me a quitter," he said. On April 12, 1980, starting in St. John's, Newfoundland, Terry embarked upon the cross-country run he called the Marathon of Hope. He wanted to raise a million dollars for cancer research. It was an extraordinary undertaking for an unknown young man with an artificial leg. His prosthesis, by modern standards, was rudimentary: every time it struck the ground, it hurt him. The weather was often harsh and some drivers tried to run him off the road. But he persevered. Every day for 143 days he ran the near-equivalent of a marathon (26 miles). When he got to Ontario, all of Canada was watching and cheering him on. The cancer returned and ended his run on September 1, 1980. But he raised not only just $1 million, but $24 million before he died. And in the years since then, tens of millions more have been raised, in Canada and around the world, in Terry's name, to combat the disease that took his life. Leslie Scrivener was a reporter assigned to follow Terry's progress. In writing his story, she drew on his diaries and interviews with Terry, his friends and family. She has completely revised and updated the text to take into account the amazing growth of Terry's legacy. This is the authentic, inspiring account of the magnificent achievement of a Canadian hero.Shipping Notes

The best dog ball EVER!!!
Our 3 y.o. Mini Australian shepherd destroys every toy that she can. We can’t have any kind of cloth toys, including the heavy duty, triple stitched, fire hose Kong toys. We can’t have rope toys, even the balls. There are many rubber or silicone toys we also can’t have as she destroys them as well. She has 5 of these balls, some for over a year and they are still in GREAT shape. Left in the sun, rain, etc, they just hold up. They also don’t have a lot of surface area to hold slobber so your hand doesn’t get all wet. Heavy enough to still throw a fair distance, but light enough that the dog was fine the few times I’ve accidentally drilled her in the ass. These are the best.

The best dog ball!
I have bought about 8 of these balls now. Mostly because my dog looses his or I’m buying them for my other dog friends. I put a dog bone in it at dinner time and it keeps my dog occupied while I’m eating my dinner. He loves it and so do I! They also have different sizes. We recently got a bigger dog breed so I got the biggest one. He loves it as well! Worth every penny!

Long term durability and still my dogs fav toy!
We’ve had this ball for 13 months now. It’s still my dogs #1 favorite toy. I have dogs like that to chew and they have tried but this thing is still fully intact. Definitely got my moneys worth and my dogs love it!!

Dog loves them
I have these balls in every size they come in. My dog loves them and they are the only thing that he can’t destroy. I also have put a squeaker from a destroyed toy inside of one (it was a difficult thing to do) and made my own indestructible squeaky ball as well as putting a small sized ball inside a medium sized ball to make something that he plays with on his own for hours.
Even if you just use it as a ball without any of the modifications I have done I highly recommend this product. You can play with your dog indoors and not be too concerned about damaging anything. It also is great for playing in the snow since it doesn’t sink as far as other balls.

Great for small dogs
This ball lasted 5 minutes for my bully. That's my fault for not reading that it was small. I'm going to look for the largest size in hopes to get a few more minutes worth of chomps. My dog loved it.
