Description

Chateau Acid Chardonnay 2025This Chardonnay comes from an east facing slope of granite and clay, a cooler pocket within a warm, dry region that naturally balances ripeness and acidity. Fermentation begins in tank before the wine moves to five year old Franois Frres barriques, where it rests on fine lees for 12 to 24 months. It is topped consistently, with no stirring or racking, and bottled with a gentle 30mg L of SO. Aged in neutral oak barrique, on full lees, topped regularly.

This Chardonnay comes from an east-facing slope of granite and clay, a cooler pocket within a warm, dry region that naturally balances ripeness and acidity. Fermentation begins in tank before the wine moves to five-year-old François Frères barriques, where it rests on fine lees for 12 to 24 months. It is topped consistently, with no stirring or racking, and bottled with a gentle 30mg/L of SO₂.

Aged in neutral oak barrique, on full lees, topped regularly. The nose has a spicy phenolic character, the palate a richness of butter and hazelnut, But also citrus and freshness. Hints of oxidation and tertiary complexity.

Château Acid is the collaborative project of lifelong friends Simon Jones and Charles O’Brien. After early careers in music, they shifted their creative focus to wine, dedicating themselves to making pure, energetic expressions of place. Since 2017 they have refined a minimal-intervention approach that allows their fruit to speak naturally.

Their wines are made from a single certified organic and biodynamic vineyard in Canowindra. Everything is hand picked and processed in their cellar with a light touch. There is no fining or filtration, and the only addition is a small amount of sulphur when required. A mix of neutral oak, amphora and other gentle vessels helps maintain transparency and precision.

They're okay, but they're quite bulky.
I liked the design and overall application of these, but they don't fit my needs. They definitely work well at protecting my hands from freezing weather, but they are way too bulky for regular motorcycle use. In my opinion, I feel that these would be much more suited for a snowmobile or ATV. If you treat them as what they’re mostly designed for — ATV/snow-related riding or cold-weather utilitarian use — these gloves are a solid buy. They deliver warmth, weather protection, and decent control through the TPU windows. But if you put them on a fast street motorcycle or expect “motorcycle-glove” levels of control and feel — they’ll likely disappoint or even pose safety trade-offs. In that context, lighter and more control-oriented gloves would probably serve you better. The reason I'm docking stars is because they're marketed toward motorcycle users, and they;re very impractical. The durability seems pretty good, as I've taken them out and even had a couple of rocks/road debris hit the TPU windows with no scratches or punctures. They're not super comfortable to use at highway speeds, especially since they fit so loose, and they tend to press my front brake/clutch which is very dangerous. I personally cannot recommend this product for motorcycle use, unless you already have handguards, which will probably negate the need for these at all. Invest in some good heated gloves and/or heated grips, and I think you'll be much safer and better off in the end. For the price, I think this is a good value, but they're just not for me.

All ATV owners need these.
These gloves are fabulous. Anybody having fun on a ATV need these. With my hand warmer and these gloves, I don’t wear anything else on my hands. They are great.

handlebar mittens
Too big. If using during snow plowing they are a burden due to need to take hands off controls, and shift from forward to reverse. Might be okay if just riding around on trails, etc.
