The turbochargers begin with a complete disassembly and each component is thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Visual checks are then performed for any microscopic damage to the housing, compressor, turbine wheels, and rotating assembly.
All bearing surfaces are precision machined to a like new finish before reassembly. The wheels and rotating assemblies are balanced to OEM specifications. All wear parts such as seals, thrust plates, bearings, and fasteners are replaced.
A 100 percent end-of-line testing is performed through the full RPM range along with a NVH analysis to ensure the highest quality turbochargers and components. In addition, hydraulic and pneumatic leak testing is done as well as burst test and hot gas stand validations.
