ARTIST BIO

Bambi or Bambi Graffiti (British, b. ca.1982) is an anonymous female street artist based in London. A graduate of St. Martin’s College of Art, she has been active as a graffiti artist in the Islington neighborhood of London for the past five to seven years. Many of her street pieces are still visible at different locations, and she has received wide praise for her public murals of figures such as Prince William and Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth, and Amy Winehouse. Her portrait of Winehouse became one of her most well-known pieces, and was famously whitewashed by the artist and repainted with Winehouse wearing a yellow dress instead of the original red. The mural is now protected by plastic and is considered an important cultural landmark for the city of London.

Dubbed “The Female Banksy" by TV commentator David Dimbleby, her approach to Street Art is unique, blending the classic stencil and spray paint technique with original media such as diamond dust and gold leaf. Bringing a feminine touch to the Street Art scene, her artworks have a colorful and glittery feel that make her pieces appealing to broad range of art lovers beyond Graffiti Art fans. Speaking of her work in a very rare interview, the media-shy artist said, “I let my work speak for itself. But dreams can inspire me and I am particularly interested in people who spread love and joy…”

Her work often depicts events and icons of popular culture including James Bond actor Daniel Craig, Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei (Chinese b.1957), Rihanna, Dita Von Teese, and David Beckham. Bambi’s art is also in the private collections of many famous celebrities including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Adele, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Harry Styles, and Louis Walsh, to name just a few. Recently Kate Moss commissioned her to paint a personal Street Art portrait in the style of Andy Warhol’s iconic Marilyn for a reported sum of £50,000.

Bambi had her first official exhibition at Walton Fine Arts Gallery in London in 2012, and she is rapidly becoming a rising star of the British Urban Art scene. Enjoying more and more exposure in both national and international press, Bambi revealed she used to have a prominent career in the music business as a singer. There has been speculation over what her real identity might be, but to this day it still remains a well-kept secret.

Well made, comfortable and flattering
Size: 3X-Large, Color: Light Green
Nice material. I ordered the 3XL because my hubby has a big belly. It fit him well and was slimming. He wore it as a guest to an outdoor wedding. He looked nice and was comfortable all night.

Nice but short
Size: X-Large, Color: Lavender
Yes, I purchased this shirt for my husband to wear on Mother’s Day. He looked so handsome and the color complimented his skin tone beautifully. The only con that my husband expressed was that the shirt was short but was comfortable and the fabric felt good on his skin. He is 6’3” and usually wears an XLT. Coofandy, Please make these shirts for taller, longer torso men!

Expensive Look Without The Expense!
Size: Medium, Color: Black, Size: Medium, Color: Black
Sizing: If you’re a true large like me and close to but less than fifteen pounds overweight, normal length and with a 44” chest, buy a medium and use the shirt to inspire you to lose the beer belly. If you have similar dimensions but are overweight by up to thirty pounds, get the large. Materials: The mediums are manufactured to 70% synthetic, 30% linen—which is a great mix, as is doesn’t have to be ironed after it’s washed and hung to dry, nor does it have to be ironed every time you get up from a chair. I’ve had many 100% linen shirts and sure, they look great after you spend thirty minutes ironing them, just to look like a crumpled up newspaper after you get out of your car. My experience with linen shirts is what brought me here. Unboxing the shirt: I threw it on an ironing board the moment I unbagged it. I tried the Synthetic setting on the iron—it wasn’t enough. I then tried the Wool setting and set the steam setting to constant medium to high. It worked great. I didn’t have to press down at all, just lightly glided the iron across wrinkled areas of the shirt. Within five minutes, the shirt looked like a hundred-dollar shirt. The material is light, yet feels heavy to the touch and breathes very well in the heat. The hidden buttons give a clean, modern look that allows the shirt to be worn with anything from shorts and sandals to dress slacks and shoes in a club. I like to wear these shirts, untucked with a pair of jeans and western boots. This shirt is very comfortable, fits nice and is extremely versatile.

Great for the price
Size: Medium, Color: Grey
Nice and light material. Looks good. Suitable for hot temperatures and casual attire. The only thing I've noticed so far that isn't so great, is that the buttons are rather cheap and the middle part broke out on a few of them.

Number of Items: 6, Color: Black (6-pack), Size: X-Large
These black T shirts are a great buy. The quality is solid, the material feels comfortable, and they fit really well without being too tight or too loose. They hold their shape after washing and the color stays nice and dark. Perfect for everyday wear, whether it is for layering or just a simple outfit. The multipack makes it even better value for the price. Definitely worth it and I would buy again.
