Red Dwarf Gourami Trichogaster Lalius 5cmOverview: The Red Dwarf Gourami, a vibrant and captivating freshwater fish, enchants with its striking red and blue hues. Known for its peaceful demeanor and manageable size, this species adds color and tranquility to any aquarium.
Origin: Originating from slow-moving waters in Southeast Asia, particularly in regions of India and Bangladesh, these Gouramis thrive in warm, still or slow-flowing waters with dense vegetation.
Feeding: Their diet typically consists of flake or pellet foods formulated for tropical fish, supplemented with occasional treats like bloodworms or brine shrimp. They eagerly accept a variety of offerings, making feeding time a delight.
Tank Mates: Due to their non-aggressive nature, Red Dwarf Gouramis are compatible with various peaceful community fish such as tetras, rasboras, and peaceful bottom-dwellers like Corydoras catfish. Avoid housing them with aggressive or fin-nipping species.
Aggression: These Gouramis are generally calm and tolerant but may display territorial behavior, especially among males. Providing adequate hiding spots and space can mitigate any potential conflicts.
Experience Level: Ideal for aquarists of varying experience levels, including beginners, given their hardiness and adaptability to various tank conditions.
Water Parameters: Maintaining stable water conditions is crucial. Optimal parameters include a temperature range of 72-82°F (22-28°C), a pH between 6.0 and 7.5, and soft to moderately hard water.

Great for reading for comprehension, also a Great book to use for all kinds of Science lessons
Format: Hardcover
This book was used as part of a Science lesson, living and non-living resources. My class drew kites, read the book, flew kites, and more during this unit. “Kite Day: a Bear and Mole Story” is a favorite of the students in my school.
