If the places a current(lv) in the conductor(d) in magnetic field (B), the direction of the magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of the applied voltage, then on the direction perpendicular to both applying current direction and magnetic field, it will produce another voltage (UH), which is called hall voltage. It's like a road, where people are evenly distributed on the road, moving forward, and when there's a magnetic field, they might wave away and go to the right of the road. Therefore, voltage difference will be generated on both sides of the road (conductor). This is called the hall effect.
