This bamboo cup set of two comes as boxed, eight-piece set and makes a great eco-friendly gift for your friends or yourself!

Open the box and inside you’ll find two bamboo reusable cups. Each cup has a silicon sleeve with its own thought- provoking slogan - “keeping my coffee warm and not the globe” and “putting our planet first with a cup to last”.

Take off the cup lids and inside you’ll find two cotton drawstring bags in which to pop your cup. Finally in the box there are also two bamboo spoons and two bookmarks.

So, where did this idea come from?

Well like many, I’m am a coffee and tea drinker and enjoy taking my laptop and working from coffee shops and bars. Knowing that approximately seven million coffee cups are used and discarded daily in the UK, I quickly moved to using my own reusable cup for hot drinks. However, I felt the basic design of a reusable bamboo coffee cup could be improved upon. The drawstring bag is part of that solution but I also wanted to share the sentiment of the importance of using these cups – hence the Slogan Silicon Sleeve was born!

The two slogans “Putting our planet first with a cup to last” and “Keeping my coffee warm, not the globe” were created by a friend and I think help sum up the wider movement that is taking place to be less throw-away and more sustainable. In my youth, we wore badges to portray our principles and values. The slogan sleeve is my 21st century equivalent!

So, a bit more about the cotton bags. Well in the past I found that after going to the trouble of taking my reusable cup to coffee shops, when I’d finished my drink and popped the cup back into my bag or briefcase, I’d always end up with a few drips on my belongings. So I designed this drawstring bag to overcome this issue.

Pop your empty cup in after your drink and the inside of your bag will remain drip free!

The spoons….The bamboo spoons can obviously be used to stir your drink after adding sugar or milk. However I also use one of my cups to carry chopped fruit and yoghurt occasionally and the spoon is great to accompany that for breakfast on the go.

The cups are bamboo and the sleeve and lid are silicon. Both are dishwasher safe.

These cups aren't leakproof - they will need to be carried upright as with your Starbucks or Costa takeaway!
