This added strength helps resist sheer breaking, which is very common in the E4OD, 4R100 and 5R110 transmissions due to their smaller shaft size. A sheer break typically occurs with excessive power in 1989 2010 Ford Powerstrokes and IDI's or the rapid loading and unloading of the transmission. This phenomenon is common place with
