Standards for sprinkler and standpipe systems require the testing of pressure regulating valves when the valves are first installed and periodically after, ensuring they are free from defects and meet the system’s hydraulic requirements. The “Enforcer II” valve testing device (VTD) connects to a hose valve or other male threaded outlet connection to accurately measure flow up to 500 GPM and pressure up to 250 psi to facilitate testing requirements of the following standards:

NFPA 13, Standard for Installation of Sprinkler Systems
NFPA 14, Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems
NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems.

The “Enforcer II” can also be used for standpipe, fire pump, backflow, and hydrant flow testing. Additional units may be necessary to meet the test requirements.

Application

Accurately measures outlet static and residual water pressures and flow from
2 1/2” hose connections. The “Enforcer II” facilitates the initial and periodic testing of pressure regulating valves in sprinkler and standpipe systems per NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and NFPA 25 requirements. This versatile device can also be used for standpipe, fire pump, and hydrant flow testing.

Standard Features

•Accuracy range from 100-500 GPMs and up to 250 PSI.
•Lightweight design (24 lbs) for easy handling.
•Durable powder-coated inline aluminum venturi flowmeter body with internal stream shapers (2.5” female NST swivel inlet x 2.5” male NST outlet). Directional arrow indicates the proper flow of water through the unit.
•Stability base with handle for easy carrying and storage.
•Detachable 2.5” female NST swivel inlet x 2.5” male NST outlet aluminum 30° elbow provides easy connection to PRVs. Set field-adjustable PRVs accurately on site.
•300 PSI rated (UL/FM) brass swivel gate valve with hand crank (5155CB01) for smooth opening, closing, and throttling of water flow.
•Quick-Disconnect Gauge Assembly (8072-QDGA-V2) provides direct readings of the pressure gauge (0-400 PSI) and flow gauge (0-500 GPM). Easily removable for protection and replacement. Both gauges are tested and calibrated to N.I.S.T standards. Each shipment includes a calibration certificate.

•8072-CASE-V2 carry case made from tough light-weight polypropylene copolymer with convoluted foam provides protection to the unit and gauge assembly. Lockable with comfort molded handles and spring loaded latches. (Empty Weight: 12 Lbs - O.D. 21” x 18” x 9”)
