Yes. Every Maul ships with two polycarbonate blades in the length you choose.
Can I use just one side?
Yes. The blades attach independently to each end of the hilt. You can wield it as a staff with both blades, or remove one and use it as a single saber.
Is the double-blade harder to handle?
It is heavier than a standard single saber because of the dual-blade design, but the weight is balanced for spinning. If you have never wielded a staff saber before, expect a brief learning curve.
