Black Widow (Battle of New York) - The Infinity Saga - BDS Art Scale 1/10 - Iron StudiosSeeking to subdue Earth and become its only sovereign, Loki of Asgard, foster brother of prince Thor, joined forces with the titan conqueror Thanos through his servant known as The Other, that made available for the God of Mischief an army of the alien race called Chitauri, a sentient species of cybernetically enhanced beings that operate under a hive mind intelligence, in exchange for the infinity gem known as Tesseract, a crystalline cube shaped

Seeking to subdue Earth and become its only sovereign, Loki of Asgard, foster brother of prince Thor, joined forces with the titan conqueror Thanos through his servant known as “The Other”, that made available for the God of Mischief an army of the alien race called Chitauri, a sentient species of cybernetically enhanced beings that operate under a hive-mind intelligence, in exchange for the infinity gem known as Tesseract, a crystalline cube-shaped containment vessel for the Space Stone, that was under the protection of the Asgardians before, kept inside Odin’s Vault. Loki teleported himself to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters where he took control over the minds of Clint Barton, the Hawkeye, because of his fighting skills; and of scientist Erik Selvig, because of his Tesseract’s knowledge. Erik Selvig built a device installed at the Stark Tower, that together with the Tesseract stolen by Loki, opened a wormhole portal allowing his army of Chitauri and Leviathans to invade the city of New York. Called “The Incident” by the citizens, the Battle of New York is considered a monumental event in the history of humanity, that publicly confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial species for the people of Earth, where, for the first time, the Avengers stood together, ready to defend the planet.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of this memorable battle presented in the movie The Avengers from 2012, the sixth movie in the MCU, directed and written by Joss Whedon, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios, where we watched the origin of the largest group of superheroes on Earth, Iron Studios proudly present their collection “Avengers Battle of NY - The Infinity Saga - BDS Art Scale 1/10”, made of a super limited edition of statues of the supergroup’s six original members, that compose a diorama set of one of the most memorable scenes from the movie, where they’re all gathered for battling for the first time.

When Loki declared war against Earth, Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, was recruited by the Avengers after her friend Clint Barton was charmed and subdued by Loki. Romanoff helped recruit Tony Stark, the Iron Man, and Bruce Banner, the Hulk, to the team while they were tracking and trying to capture Loki, eventually saving Barton from his grasp. Iron Studios present the statue “Black Widow Battle of NY - The Infinity Saga - BDS Art Scale 1/10”, with Natasha wielding her pistol when she joined the complete team during the Battle of New York. The Russian hero had a fundamental role to destroy the portal that was created by the Tesseract.

Already on Pre-Order and individually available, The Infinity Saga line brings new statues inspired in the first twenty-three movies from the Marvel Cinematographic Universe, containing the so-called Phase One, Phase Two, and Phase Three, with the most iconic characters in their most memorable moments. Presented in the virtual event Inside Iron Studios Day, check out more infinity news soon by Iron Studios avenging in your collection.

Colorful and Vivid
Format: Hardcover
This picture book features vivid cut-paper illustrations that visualize the concrete images in the poetic text. I found aspects of the poem abstract enough that I'm not sure if young children would connect with it, but they can enjoy the rhythmic language and emphasis on phonic sounds related to the letter "O," even if some of the abstract thought is beyond them. The vivid and colorful pages will definitely appeal to both children and adults, and the book has a nice message about hope and God's love. Throughout the book, the letter "O" appears in different colors, and the note at the beginning of the book encourages children to find things in the illustration that start with that letter. Children could also count how many times the letter appears in the text. This would be a great choice for Christian families, churches, and Christian preschools, and would combine very well with a cut-paper craft for kids to do. The author's note also includes some open-ended discussion questions that adults can use with children.

Our Creative Designer Invites Us to Hope Fully in Him
Format: Kindle
Because I’m spending time now in the public schools, I’m seeing how desperately our children need an infusion of hope, so I’m thrilled to share an InterVarsity Press collaboration between poet Luci Shaw and illustrator Ned Bustard in which hope and joy meet. Little meaning-makers will be entertained by whimsical images and then gently introduced to our safe haven of hope, “the center of the loving heart of God.” The O in Hope grows up with your child, for toddlers can point to the multicolored O‘s on each page while older children identify the O words and play I SPY in search of critters beginning with the letter O. Both poetry and hope are meant to be spoken out loud, so wise parents who are determined to “hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering” will find strong support in words and images that point to the creative Designer whose faithfulness invites us to hope fully in him. Many thanks to IVP Kids for providing a copy of this book to facilitate my review, which is, of course, offered freely and with honesty.

A Treasure
Format: Hardcover
The O in Hope by Luci Shaw and illustrated by Ned Bustard is a beautiful book for children. This book is geared more for younger elementary students, although I read it to my ten year old son and we still loved it. Luci Shaw is an absolute treasure. I read this book after hearing her and Ned Bustard speak about this book on a podcast. I adore her personally and hope she has more poems turned into picture books like this. Ned Bustard was the perfect choice to illustrate this book. I highly recommend this beautiful, cheerful book. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
