From 1872 to 1883, Emily Warren Roebling oversaw one of the greatest engineering triumphs in history - the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge.

In 1869, Emily’s father-in-law, John A. Roebling, took on the immense task of constructing a bridge that would connect Brooklyn to New York. After his death, his son, Washington Roebling, took over as Chief Engineer. In order to help her husband, Emily started studying topics in civil engineering - math, strength of materials, stress analysis and cable construction. In 1872, her husband developed caisson disease which left him bedridden and partially paralyzed. In a determined effort to bring her late father-in-law and husband’s dream to fruition, Emily worked tirelessly to relay information from Washington to his assistants reporting on the progress of work on the bridge, eventually taking over most of the Chief Engineer’s duties (including day-to-day supervision and project management). For over a decade, she dealt with politicians, competing engineers and all those associated with work on the bridge where people believed she was behind the bridge's design.

Emily Warren Roebling (September 23, 1843 – February 28, 1903) helped forge a new path for women during a time when the idea of a woman being able to understand complex mathematics and science was unheard of.

She was the first person to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on May 24, 1883.

Emily passed away at the age of 59 as a revolutionary and one of the Chief Engineers of the greatest civil engineering accomplishments of the 19th century.

Funcional but smaller than I thought
Color: B-silver
I liked it and it replaces something around the kitchen sink that was constantly dripping liquid soap dish into the sink making a mess! This new organizes items much better. It's smaller than I envisioned and wish it came with it's own soap bottles dispensers but I found two small ones placing them side by side and it works. Did not use the metal divider. I cannot tell yet the drying speed of the sliding out stone. It's functional at keeping everything hands reach and organized around the kitchen sink.

Nice sink caddy
Color: Gold, Color: Gold
It was exactly as described- looks nice on my counter. I haven’t bought the scrub brush I want yet to put in the taller space but it def dries fast anytime water gets on it. I like the look on my counter space. It’s not flimsy, I like the color of the gold.

Effective!!
Color: Black, Color: Black
This caddy keeps my sink organized. It absorbs the water when I place my sponges on it and its super easy to keep clean. I squeeze as much waster as I can from the sponges so it doesn't wear out. I've had this a little under a year and it has held up exceptionally well.

Perfect for beside any sink even dorms
Color: Black
I bought this for my son for his dorm room for his sponge for washing dishes and for him to put his dish soap and his hand soap for everything that he could keep it all tidy because he’s actually quite organized and he actually really liked it and it looked very neat. It’s easy to clean. It wasn’t too big everything fit perfectly for the Myers hand soap, and dish soap. The color is neutral almost masculine is gray and black. And there is no issue of it falling because he kept it on a side table away from the sink so that nobody else would use it so it would be just his. So It was altogether and kept everything organized. He really liked it.
