Plant Part Used:  Dried lichen.

Oak Moss is primarily used for a fixative in perfumes and incense.  It is often  adulterated or strengthened with spruce, pine or fir moss oils.  Tree Moss (E. furfuracea) is usually a combination of lichen and it can also be called Oak Moss.

This oil is very thick and will need to be warmed gently in a water bath to make it easier to work with.


Blending Suggestions:  Lavender, Bergamot, Neroli, Patchouli, Jasmine, Rose

Hazards: Skin sensitization (high risk).

Contraindications (dermal): Hypersensitive, diseased or damaged skin, children under 2 years of age.

Maximum dermal use level: 0.1%
