About Red Squirrels
The red squirrel is an arboreal rodent. It grows to 24-30cm and has a bushy tail used to maintain equilibrium. The squirrel is an intelligent and inventive animal, but sometimes it forgets where it hid its food, which consists of acorns, nuts, berries, mushrooms, or bird's eggs. They live alone but when it's cold they sometimes gather in an abandoned bird's nest to keep warm. Its habitat is primarily Europe and Northern Asia.
